.

I hired this moving company on a recommendation, and also after seeing their BBB rating of A-. I have no idea why they have that rating, unless I was their very first negative experience. The office staff was mostly the problem here.
1st problem: We moved from an apartment to a house, and the movers did not have the right information on what floor we were on. When they showed up and realized we were 1 floor higher than their office person had told them, they told me that they were 1 man short, had to call another guy in, and informed me that it would be an additional $20 more an hour. (Despite the fact that I completed the online form CORRECTLY when I filled it out to get my quote. They sent me an email after I submitted my form offering me the $75/hour rate.) En route to the new location, I called the office and talked to a rude guy, who acted as if I was the one who had mistakenly sent the wrong number of movers to my place. I explained to him that I filled out their form, and talked separately through email to one particular staff person, he put me on hold, and came back and said "It is $95/hour for 3 movers, so you will have to pay that amount." Of course I refused, and we went back and forth like this 3 times, until he finally told me that I could pay the original amount I hired them for.
2nd problem: I had emailed the office staff person before the move to ask about how they would prefer we pack our hanging clothes. She told me that they would use blankets and wrap all of the clothes, and we did not have to pack them in boxes - just leave them on the hangers. Well, the movers get to our place and tell us that the homeowner is responsible for buying wardrobe boxes for hanging clothes. I told them that the girl said they would move them in blankets, and they told me that their blankets were too filthy to put clothes in them (which they were). SO we had to move ALL of our clothes ourselves later. (By the way, that is a huge pain, and one of the reasons we HIRED movers. Ya know, to move our stuff...)
3rd issue: I had also emailed the girl in the office about taking a tollway to get to the new place. She said no problem, every truck has a toll tag and they take tollways all the time. Well guess which truck did NOT have a toll tag. Of course. So, the movers had to take the long way, which took them about 30 more minutes than it took us to get there.
The kicker is that our friends used this company the week after us for their move (we told them who we were using, and of course told them that we had not used them yet, so we couldn't recommend them at that point, but they decided to go with them anyway.) They also had to move all their hanging clothes, despite being told that the movers would take care of it. Also, they were called in the morning by the office staff, and she told them that the moving truck had broken down that morning and they would be about 5 hours late. Well, the movers show up, my friend mentions the truck, and one of the movers says "What? We didn't break down, the office made a mistake with their scheduling!"
Seems like they need to get their office staff in order, first and foremost. If you make a mistake, you don't turn around and tell the customer, well too bad - you have to pay an additional $20/hour because of our mistake! Beyond the complete lack of communication in the office, the actual movers were not polite, made no effort to hide the fact that they were pissed off about the apartment floor mixup (hel-LO, NOT my fault!!), and at the end of the job, tried to tack on an extra hour. I would NOT recommend this company.

Pros: Got the job done

Cons: mistakes, no tolltag, did not do what they said they would
