We had checked out a few services in the area via web and picked Coit in Spring Branch because I believed the hot water extraction method was the most sensible ( our child had allergies so I wanted minimal chemicals). Their web site said that they would move the furniture for a thorough cleaning. The technician who came the next day was polite and punctual. Their estimates were fair, not the most nor least expensive. A few days later 2 guys came to do the carpet and 2 others for the duct cleaning.

The carpet cleaning took almost 2 hours for 2000 sq ft. They didn't move a lot of furniture even though the web site said they would (they did move the sofa though). They did under the beds as far as the vaccume thing could reach but didn't move the bed or empty drawers. The guys who were doing the job were polite. When I asked about the areas they missed (under furniture) the tech said it was their branch's policy not to move anything that 1 man couldn't move. When I explained that the reason I chose them was because the web site included "moving furniture" they aggreed to have someone come back to do under the bed. Again the tech that came the next week was polite, but endedup making fairly large scratches in the wooden bed frame. When I called to talk the the manager about the job and the scratches, I was told to leave a message. I did call 2-3 times, never got the manager.
For the air duct cleaning a crew of 2 came and did 11 vents in about 1 and 1/2 hours. They had to drill holes on either side of each vent to attach the suction machine. After they finished my husband said that they told him the vents had not been very dirty at all. So we spent a lot of money to have holes on the beside each vent and we had not even needed the service (our house was 8 years old when we did this service).

It has now been a year since we had these services done and the parent company has called 3 times to remind us to reclean the carpet. Each time I tell them that I was unhappy with the 1st time and asked to be taken off their lists.

Pros: nice techs

Cons: advertisement promises not fulfilled

.

The company sent a 2 man crew for what should have been at least a 4 man job. The Service men were several hours late. Upon arrival they realized the job was way too big for just 2 men so they called in a second crew to help them. That crew showed up 4 hours later and did not bring the necessary grout to complete the job. They said they didn't have any of my "color" grout on their truck. My grout is white. So they left with a promise to return the next day, which they did not. I agreed to pay $100 extra so an extra man could come and move the furniture but they did not want to move anything; they just wanted to clean around everything. They actually cleaned around 3 empty suit cases instead of setting them to the side. We then moved the furniture for them but this insulted them so they walked out without completing the job. They did not spot treat anything, even though I was told by the person who did the estimate that they would. When I called to try to get everything straightened out, Robert, the Supervisor, was not very helpful. He had been told one story by his crew and did not even want to hear our side of the story. His crew accused us of being abusive; which did not happen. They just wanted to do a lazy job and get paid for a great job. The estimate for stretching the carpet was $1500 and the workers complained that "Usually the carpet only has a couple of ripples but your carpet has a lot of ripples in it"; Well, that's why you are charging $1500.00. Did they expect me to agree to $1500.00 for a couple of ripples? We were very disappointed and will not use them again
