This restaurant is beautiful inside, plays amazing music, live music on weekends....AND THE FOOD.....FABULOUS! Not only best Thai in Houston, but I would honestly say best Asian cuisine I have found in 10 years of living in Houston. Service is wonderful, staff friendly, owner so nice and friendly. Amazing prices too. Just can't say enough about this restaurant...the food is just that good!

Pros: amazing gourmet twist on Thai cuisine; superb atmosphere

What a nightmare.

Brought out main before appetizer, and then when app arrived, was cold. Asked for chicken curry, got smelly fish (?) like substance with frightening color. No rice with curry until asked. Slow overall, and there were only 6 tables occupied with 5 waitstaff!! Food was mushy and unappetizing. Asked for one check, got split tabs. Then the waiter hovered at table waiting for us to fill out bill. Creepy.

As I write this, I feel sickness coming on from the lunch consumed there 45 min ago. Will NOT return. On west side, try Nit Noi. You won't get frustrated and ill.

My friends and I heard about this new and hip Thai Spice Asian Bistro on Eldridge at Bellaire since last month but we just went there last Friday for dinner. Let's me tell you this we were very surprised at the good quality of the Thai Food and the hip and modern layout of the restaurant. The Tom Yum is heavenly spicy and enough sourness to wet our appetizes. Pad Thai was also excellent, not so sweet like other Thai restaurant we went to but had some sourness to it that we didn't have to put any lemond on it. Oh, and try the baked fresh mussels with Thai basels (the waitress told us that they had it flown in fresh from Seattle. Very refreshing to hear nowaday!) with a delicious but light tamarind and ginger sauce on the side. I had never known a fresh mussel could taste this good before. We also stayed with a traditional "chinese-american" dish, Orange Chicken; it was completely different from any other orange chicken i tasted before. Both the crispy batter on the chicken and the orange sauce were very light and yet had a balance of orange taste and pineapples. We will defintely come back to try some more dishes.

BTW, on the Friday that we were there they had live band playing Jazz and Christmas Music. I remember that saxophonist's name is John Rochelle. Every person in our group loved the smooth Jazz played by Mr. Rochelle. Silent Night was never better with the sax sound.

Thank you Thai Spice Asian Bistro, West Houston's Most Happening Thai .....!
