Stayed for the duration of our lease and wish we had never stepped foot into the apartment. \n\nGorgeous place horrible management. When we first signed a lease we signed it with Camden management and then half way through our lease they switched management companies. Never really spoke to the new management people since first day of take over our car gets broken into and a week later they make a mistake on our water billing by increasing the rate of water by 285% so everyone paid average $100 in WATER. Management didn't apologize and had the audacity to tell me the reason was the city increased the rate....ummmm we're not dumb the city doesn't raise the rate by 285%! So I guess other people started to question their ridiculous bill and the next month bill comes and NO APOLOGY LETTER no e-mail no nothing just a little side note on bill you wouldn't notice that some money has been refunded. So needless to say we just didn't speak to the management team very much unless we had to. Move out date gets nearer, we're relocating to Austin so we terminate our lease. So the current manager is Veronica and she claims that she's been doing this for 12 years and has lots of experience. If you have a contract with Camden and then a Grayco manger does the walk through and is incompetent enough to not think of cost effective fixes and doesn't inform us of their standards and pricing why should we pay a ridiculous move out bill of 2,200. Normal fixes people would do like spackle nail holes and such shouldn't even be attempted. You shouldn't do a thing when you move out b/c they expect it to be unlived in, as in no wear and tear and professional quality. So don't attempt to paint yourself b/c heavy painting ie. paint drips = $350 to sand down HEAVY painting and repainting. They like to think they know what they're doing in hiring the proper vendors they say. well we happen to have developed a whole subdivision and actually know how to do construction work and don't tell me you had to cut a massive hole to repair what you thought was a hole larger than what i made. She's not the brightest either, you would think that for stains a professional cleaner would be called first instead of replacing the whole carpet in a whole room. REALLY two quarter size stains on the carpet doesn't warrent a phone call to stanley steamers first before you just rip up the carpet. A calcium stain 2"" in diameter = $650 refinishing of the their marble that dulls easily from ANY use. So moral of the story is if your going to pay the high rent expect to be taken for even more b/c that's what they expect, you've got money you pay the rent you can afford to cover us redoing everything without using common sense and I can tell you Camden management is reasonable in their move out expectations and understands lived in normal wear. Don't move here unless you plan on never putting up a thing on the walls and have everything on a rug, otherwise go next door I know I wish I had.
