This is a jewel. We happened to come across it by accident: we got lost in Japantown and voila, here it was. First I was somewhat surprised how far they took the ??specialty sausages? ?? alligator, rattlesnake, veal, rabbit ?? do they have some of these species in Germany ? Oh well, the yuppie crowd and German beer selections quickly made us focus on the good old traditional Bratwurst ! The desserts are to die for. The pricing somewhat high, but what an experience ? Yum, yum.

Seriously overpriced. Annoying layout that creates a line and no seating. It's weird because they are paying people to take orders in line but it doesn't help anything move faster. They need to police the insanely loud dining room when

Exotic alligator, rabbit, rattlesnake sausages or basic bratwurst, this place knows how to grill a bun perfectly, slap on the grilled onions and make a sausage into a gourmet treat. Plus they've got a great beer selection and a pretty decent selection of unusual sodas. Friendly and inexpensive.

Everyone needs a good sausage, every now and then.

Can I tell you how excited I am about downtown LA's renaissance? I'm FREAKING REALLY EXCITED! Just a few years back my only lunch options were Korean BBQ in Little Tokyo or a bag of chips

Pros: Great Bread, Meat, Beer LIST, near Gold Line , nice staff

Cons: Too small for it's awesomeness, parking

This place is an absolute MUST EAT.

Here's a tip: if you're feeling brave, go for the Rabbit/Rattlesnake/Jalapeno sausage, with caramelized onions and sweet peppers. I'm a picky eater and trust me, it's not weird, it's just good.

This place is smokin'. I dined here a while ago for my German class get together. I was amazed at the variety of sausage and beer that they had to offer. I was really fun, the fries are good and greasy (the good way :-) )

This is my new hidden discovery. Its located in downtown Los Angeles outside Japantown in a secret exclusive clubhouse full of LA yuppie foodies. They specialize in a variety of unique sausages, such as rattlesnake, alligator, rabbit, veal and other meats. They have also have a variety of European beers on tap! I LOVE the Belgian fries with white truffle oil and gourmet dipping sauces. The apple pie ice cream oatmeal sandwich is also a MUST when going here.

Prices: Each sausage was $7.50, Large Belgian fries was $5.50, each Spaten was $5.47 and Dessert $5.00.
