Love the new Rocco's location - their patio is so nice! Was there over the weekend for lunch and did not realize it is BYOB - very cool! At their new place they have alot of room and TV's that they were playing college football - not to mention their pizza, I have been ordering from them for the past 6 years - so glad they have a new locattion to dine in at!!!!
Pros: Great Pizza, delivery and great patio!!!1

DON'T DO IT
by CSMobileUser
Very, very rude staff. The pizza and food itself is mediocre but fine for the price. Not kidding - one time a friend got the bottom of the bag crumbs of doritos as a "side". Anyhow, the manager is a huge disaster and she is never friendly or accomodating. I agree with the other bad reviews on this site. I recommend finding another pizza place in this same zip code.

3 HOUR DELIVERY AND ACTUALLY I'M STILL WAITING. - BOY COTT! STIKE! DON'T ORDER! YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!
by cburenheide
OK. I LOOK UP ON THIS WEBSITE FOR A DELIVERY PLACE IN DALLAS, I'M REALLY FROM HOUSTON, ANYWAYS I CALLED TO SEE HOW MUCH A PIZZA WAS AND WAS RUDELY TOLD TO LOOK AT THE WEBSITE. SO I DID AND THE FOOD LOOKED DECENT. SO I ORDERED. AT NOON.
OK REAL TIME - IT'S NOW 2:50PM THE PIZZA GUY COMES IN AND WANTS MY MONEY, I EXPLAIN I ORDERED IT 3 HOURS AGO AND DON'T PLAN ON PAYING FOR THIS.
HE CALLED BACK TO HIS BOSS, I GUESS, HE TOLD HER WHAT I SAID...HE LOOKED AT ME ASKED ME AGAIN "SO YOU DON'T WANT TO PAY FOR THIS" I AGAIN SAID NO. WHAT DOES HE DO....
WE WALKS OUT WITH PIZZA IN HAND. WHAT A LOAD! WHAT A LOUSY WAY TO DO BUSINESS.
I DIDN'T EVEN GET A GOODBYE -
HERE'S MY GOOD BYE! I'M NEVER ORDERING FROM ROCCO'S AGAIN!
BOYCOTT! STRIKE! NO ONE ORDER FROM HERE!
Pros: NOTHING
Cons: THE ABILITY TO BE THE WORST PIZZA PLACE EVER!

Surprise - loved it!
by tulip64
I'm honestly surprised at the bad reviews I've read. Don't know if we just got lucky or what, but a work crowd went for lunch yesterday and we really loved it. 3 of us had the pizza and we all thought it was outstanding (and I am a stickler for good pizza, won't touch Pizza Hut, Inn, or any of the chain delivery places). 2 had pasta dishes they said were very good, and 1 had the eggplant parmesan - he admitted he'd had better, but he still liked it. The garlic rolls are to die for (but brother, you'd better LOVE garlic), and everyone especially loved the house salad with the delicious house viniagrette. YUMMY!
We went to the Uptown location, which is a fun part of town for people watching.
Our one complaint has been said in other reviews - the service, while very friendly, left a lot to be desired. It was at least 15 minutes before we got our ordered drinks, another 10 or 15 before orders were taken, and it took forever to get our checks. What should have been an hour lunch took nearly 90 minutes.
As I said, maybe we just got lucky (and if that's the case, I'll come here and say so), but we loved the food and location (tiny but charming), and will definitely go back.
Pros: Excellent food, very reasonable prices
Cons: Very slow service

Horrible Experience
by fauxfoodie
I got their flyer on my door one day and decided to give them a try. I placed the order online (as advertised on the flyer) and recieved a confirmation in my in box immediately and it was dated 11:25am. I waited until 1:10pm before calling to check on my delivery. Tony, "the manager", assured me that I was next on the delivery schedule. 30 minutes later...1:40pm...I callled again to check on my order. Tony once again said I should have been next bu that he would call me back with an update. Once he called back, he says that they never even received my order and could I repeat it for them. At this point I was really aggrivated and asked for my food to be comped after having watied for hours and also having been lied to about "being the next delivery". He stated he had to "call Rocco in California" to ok this. Rocco obviously sided with Tony and I will never ever be ordering from them again. This was my first time to give them a try...and it was also the last.
Pros: nothing
Cons: everything

Cold and not very flavorful.
by delicieux08
I should have known by the menu style online that this place was going to be disappointing. I ordered from here twice and both times the pizza was COLD. Not only was it cold but the four cheese pizza I ordered with tomatoes was so flavorless, it reminded me of soggy cardboard.

I could make a better pizza than this
by theproudtexan
I tried to do something different and eat locally, rather than order out from a big pizza chain. Bad idea. It's hard for me to find a bad pizza, but I found it -- at Rocco's. It was...gritty. The fried calimari was soggy and the buffalo wings were like frozen chicken nuggets doused in wing sauce -- seriously. Their greek salad isn't bad, and the staff is nice enough, but I won't be going back here. It's not worth it. Just order from Papa John's.
I just don't understand -- how can you make bad pizza??

Not the Best....Especially Delivery. Served Cold
by starcox
I was very surprised this was voted as the best pizza for 2008. The pizza was delivered cold and was not placed in a pizza warmer. I had to put the pizza in the oven prior to eating.

Best in Dallas? Seriously?
by guest28349
I'm in dallas for 6 months on business and was duped into visiting this place thanks to citysearch. The empty restaurant at 7pm was the first bad sign. The fact that I was the only person in the store and they still messed up my order was the second. Strike three came when the pizza tasted like digiorno with ragu old world style dumped on top (this stuff's made in NEW YORK CITY?!). Seriously, if this is the best dallas has to offer then stick with dominos.
For an alternative (which is admittedly not pizza), go to the "village burger bar" on cole st. Super tasty.
Pros: Nobody punched me in the face when i walked in their front door
Cons: The food sucked

Rude service
by sara91786
I called in an order for delivery and had a coupon i found from this site that said i would get free delivery. The lady on the other end said "we don't have a free delivery coupon." I said that i had found it on this site and it hadn't expired yet. She mockingly said "mam, nowadays no one gives free delivery. everyone charges." She spoke to me like i was an idiot and she is definitely wrong about the coupon.

Unexpected Delight - Whole Wheat Crust Pizza
by jules625
I stopped in today for Lunch and could not decide what I could eat on my diet. Rocco himself suggested that I try the Whole Wheat Crusted pizza - listed on menu as the Rocco's Weight Watchers Specilaity. I was very hesitant but to my delight the pizza was FABULOUS!!! The combination of fresh vegetables and pesto instead of red sauce just blew me away. This is a sure bet on my next visit I must also mention that I was in between appointments and the dining area has Wi-Fi, so while I waited for my pizza I checked emails and got some much needed paper work done. Great place all around!!!!!
Pros: Parking in the back, Great menu, patio dining, late night delivery

Delivery at the Pool
by brothers
They were great, we had a group of people haning out by my pool this weekend and the delivery guy managed to get to the pool with no problem! It waas great not having to leave and pick it up.
Pros: Deliver anywhere

Slow, expensive, and inedible - a craptacular waste of stomach space.
by sf6
I waited over an hour for delivery of one of the worse pizzas I've ever tasted. Pure garbage, even by Dallas' very low standards. You're better off with a cheese sandwich dipped in ketchup.
Pros: They answer the phone.
Cons: You'll (eventually) get the pizza.

by wendyyork
Come down and find out why Vino 100 uses them for a pizza service. This little place has an amazing amount of pizza coming out the door. They are a lovely couple that own and run this establishment. They are open untill 4AM as w2ell and deliver pizza in a pretty big radius. Call today for pizza delivery in Dallas for the best pizza on McKinney Avenue!
Pros: You can support a local merchant while having the best pizza in town.
Cons: none

Barely a step up from Pizza Hut
by likeprairie
We ordered delivery from the Lemmon store and were disappointed. It is well-priced, but the pizza was subpar. I would order again if I needed to order for a group and had limited funds. Otherwise, this is not the place for pizza lovers.
Pros: quick delivery, good price, convenient
Cons: below average pizza

By far the best pizza in Uptown.
by davidchildress
Roccos is as true NY style as I have found in Dallas. They use top quality ingredients, their sauce is amazing and the crust is perfect. I Recommend the grilled or BBQ chicken, or the Tex Mex.

Bad service
by sam1980
Well, I've never eaten here, but the service I received was bad when I called for delivery. I gave them my address and ordered. Ten minutes later the manager called me back and said that they do not deliver to my area (less than 2 miles away). She half-heartedly apologized and told me that the guy I spoke with was new. After hanging up and thinking about it, it seems that they should have delivered to me anyways after realizing that they were the ones who had made the mistake.
Pros: I didn't get a chance to discover the pro's.
Cons: Service.

BLEH!
by 1stmaxwell
consistently bad. been to this place three times. I always give restaurants 3 shots.
Service extremely slow and disorganized.
food at time unedible.
however the garlic rolls are good, but strong. Beware if you eat them. You will smell bad for DAYS from all of the garlic.
I really was pulling for this place to improve. we need a good italian restaurant in Oak Cliff.
Pros: inexpensive, good menu, usually not crowded
Cons: food bad, service slow
