My snowblower broke and the service center said it would cost a minimum of $99 but that would include the price of repairs. The man came and spent no more than 10 minutes replacing a belt, and charged my $200. The belt probably cost $5. So his hourly rate must have been close to $1000. Total rip off.

Bridgeview #'s are 708-233-4760/ or 4765 or 4762 someone should answer but the knowing the personnel, good luck... Specially with the manager she doesn't seem to understand she works for the company not owns it. Customers that do not speak english you may wan't to take a translator they do not care about anyone that does not speak english, so my polish, chinese, hispanic, etc., friends you have been forwarned...Good luck.

BEFORE anyone reads this complaint/message, I want to be fair to the personnel at the Bridgeview, Illinois Parts and Service Center. When I FINALLY managed to reach them they took good care of me. THE PROBLEM WAS IN FINDING HOW TO CONTACT THEM. Please bear in mind, that I was calling a facility about 20 miles from my home. ONCE I GOT THROUGH TO INDIA, I was able to get the phone number to call the Bridgeview Parts and Repair Center. I did not want to order the parts I needed, expect to wait a week or so to get them, and RUN THE RISK OF GETTING A NOTIFICATION A WEEK LATER THAT THE PARTS WERE ACTUALLY NOT AVAILABLE. This has happened before with the Sears Parts Direct system. Soooo, Whereas the computer at the Aurora Parts Center showed that Bridegiew had the 2 parts I needed, I wanted to confirm they had them, and I wanted to pick them up as the Bridgeview location was not very far at all. THE PROBLEM WAS THE CALL-IN SYSTEM. PHONE NUMBERS POSTED ON THE SEARS WEB SITE AND OTHER WEBSITES JUST RING FOREVER, OR YOU ARE PLACED ON HOLD WHILE WAITING TO GO THROUGH AN ORDERING PROCESS THAT DOES NOT IN ANY WAY LET YOU CONTACT THE INDIVIDUAL CENTERS. Sometimes, the retail stores might have an actual phone number, but all too often, the numbers they give you just ring and ring and ring. What is the "message" in this message. If you want to deal with Sears, whether calling into the retail stores, which is also a problem of not getting through, or the repair process, be prepared to be frustrated. Sears has traded off Customer Satisfation for some Accountants idea of how to save money. Too bad the Accountants never had to sell something for a living or ever tried to repair something. Maybe the current Sears President, and how about the entire Board of Directors should spend a few days with me, anywhere there are some phones, so I can have them role play being an actual Sears customer. I'll have them try to achieve the simple "customer Satisfaction" denied to me and countless thousands of others because of the system in place. Hey!! After I enlighten them to the call-in problems, maybe I can take them on a "shopping" enlightenment. I will not guarantee this will give them all the answers to the problems facing Sears. I can sure show them what the problems are. Although, if I had the empowerment, and the Accountants would stay out of the way, I would almost guarantee to be able to put Sears back on the path it once enjoyed.

Leave something for repair, expect a phone call when finished? Not! Had to call an 800 number and would up speaking to someone in India!!!! I live 5 miles from this place and someone in India tells me that the item was ready two days ago!!!! No call from Sears.

I have tried calling to check on a parts order. The phone rings 100+ times and noone answers. You would be better off puting this facility in one of the stores since you cannot manage the parts center as a stand alone unit.
