Manzetti's Tavern

Our Company had meetings at the Marriott SouthPark and they recommended Manzetti's for dinner. Great recommendation. The Service was good and 12 out of 16 ordered steaks which were cooked to perfection. The house salad was amazing.

We had a great bottle of wine at a reasonable price. I was craving Tai food all week and some friends took us here. I ordered Pad Tai, it had both chicken & shrimp. The problem was, it smelled and tasted like barbeque sauce! It had the right noodles and peanuts on top but didn't taste right at all. Take it off the menu if you are not going to do it right. The waitress even complimented the smell of it, but she also needed help opening the bottle of wine.

I found this restaurant absolutely wonderful. My girlfriend and I choose this little "out of the way " restaurant when she visits Charlotte. The atmosphere is nice and the salads are divine. My husband and I also enjoyed our meal on Valentine's Day. The croissants are a nice treat.

I am not one for 'fine dining' I will take a good sports bar experience over fine dining any day however our corporation got together and Manzetti's was the chosen destination. Hidden away in a shopping center where you can barely find it amongst all the other shops and eateries Manzetti's appears with it's homely and welcoming decor to be a good experience but I found it hard to find anything on the menu I wanted, when I did make my choice of stuffed chicken I was less than impressed. The service was meager at best for our large group of 15-20 people and for the end result:The Receipt the service, food, and location couldn't be saved by the nice decor of Manzetti's.

When you call and ask to get a reservation for a large party this is the responce you get, "Well if you wan't to have that many people, they all have to come in at the same time." What the heck is that all about? I have NEVER had someone say that, and I go out a lot with my friends. The food isn't even that great. You would think a South Park Restaurant would have better service.

I recently moved back to Charlotte and have never priorly been to Manzetti's. A friend mentioned it to me when we were deciding where to go get drinks after work. When we got there (after we had to find it), we realized that we found a hidden gem among the surrounding Corporate Chains. The bartender was quite knowledgable and definately knew how to pour an adequate drink. We decided to order a couple of appetizers at the bar before getting a table. We thought being in Southpark area that the portions would be skimpy for the price: WRONG! The 2 orders of Nachos were big enough for 6+ people. We didn't finish them because we wanted to save some room for dinner. Well, we got our table and was greeted promptly by a very attractive waitress. Then I noticed the trend with the attractive staff; very nice. She guided thru our meal with a great suggestion of wine and steaks (The Ribeye: unbelievable! Highly suggested!) We even had a young manager stop by to ask us how our steaks and service were. Then we kinda noticed that he was greeting bar patrons by name as they came in when we were at the bar and checking around on all the tables. Very nice touch!!! When it came time for dessert, couldn't do it. Not after the Nachos, Salad and Steak, we were way to full. To finish everything off, on the way out, we were given a great farewell by 2 lovely ladies and that same manager on the way out.

In conclusion: The service was great and definately had that personal touch. The food and drinks while the portions were huge, the price was not. I could almost gaurentee that we would've spent 2 - 3 times as much anywhere else for what we got... definately a bargain! We will definately be back!!!

Its been about 10 years since we have been to Manzetti?s. We recently returned for a rehearsal dinner and it was just as we remembered. My husband ordered the Ribeye and I ordered the Filet, Both were cooked perfectly. The group was around 50 people and every one really enjoyed the evening. There were allot of comments about the BBQ Ribs but I didn?t try them on this visit. The service was good and the server?s seemed like they really cared about providing good service. We don?t return to Charlotte much these days but this is a great restaurant.

I was in town on a business trip and found Manzetti's via Citysearch. It was close to my hotel and an Editorial winner for after-work bars, so I was excited to go. I had the bone-in ribeye and my coworkers had the crab claws. My steak was good, but cooked inconsistently and under seasoned for my taste. I ordered it medium rare and it came out medium well on one end and rare near the bone. My coworkers were less enthused with their dishes than I was with mine. We did order Frank's "famous pizza" nachos which we did not receive until after our meals. I have no idea why they call them "pizza" nachos as they seemed like pretty standard nachos. We were not really impressed with those either. And when the manager came to apologize for us not receiving them, he apologized for the "blonde waitress" which our table thought was rather inappropriate. He did comp a round of drinks and appetizers, which was nice since we didn't really complain or ask for anything.

As far as a trendy after work bar, we were there on Wednesday evening and the crowd was a slightly upscale group of 50+ year olds.

Needless to say, for the cost I was not impressed and would not return. If you want an INCREDIBLE steak, head down the road to Del Frisco's. Our bill there was about 50% more but the food and service were second to none.

As a long time fan of Manzetti's, I was nervous when I noticed the menu had changed a bit. Fortunately, my fears were unfounded - the new additions are FABULOUS - I especially love the shrimp & fettucine tirreno. The bar area is a favorite hot spot after a long day of work.

In all of the years that I have eaten a Manzittis, the food is always consistant. The steaks are cooked the same way and taste the same every time. The service is outstanding.

We have been to many restaurants in the Charlotte area but this is the best. The steaks are some of the best we have had. The price includes the Salad and Side which makes the value amazing. Give it a try.

They got it down from service to food. Service you get from experienced waiter is immaculate. Atomosphere is pretty intimate although noise level goes up during the peak hour. French fries and Onion rings are divine and they melt in your mouth. Order their house salad dressing when you get your side salad(don't skip the salad!!) Pastas are generally good with big portions and steak is also very recommended.
