Although many dishes have goofy names--the ?When in Rome,? a white-sauced pizza with pancetta, peas and mushrooms, for example--they?re really just traditional Italian eats done right. I've worked in the neighborhood for about a decade, and lunch around here is always miserable. You have a choice of a few lackluster restaurants or bar food.
Not anymore!
The pizza is superb and nicely priced. I've come back to this spot again and again. Mod seemed to have had a rocky start, my first few visits were inconsistent. Sometimes fabulous, or times I had an overly long wait. I kept coming back, partly because the options in this neighborhood or slim. I'm glad I stuck to it!
Food is great everytime, and I feel welcome and appreciated here.
