I went to this restaurant with family for a Birthday dinner. This place was fine. I loved the dish I ordered which was the pasta with shirmp (forgot the name). Overall I would go back again!

My wife and I ate here on Saturday and we both agree that it was not impressive and probably won't go back because it's simply too expensive for the quality of food they are serving.

The place is nicely furnished and comfortable...good start. The waiter helped in selecting a bottle of wine which was really delicious...great beginning. To start, we ordered the Gamberi alla Toscanaccia for an appetizer. The portion was generous but we were really put off by the use of watery, tasteless frozen shrimp they used. I know most shrimp are frozen but what what i'm talking about are the cheap flavorless kind that are generally found in $2.50 pork fried rice at any Chinese take out place. Really??? For $12.50, there's really no excuse for serving such low quality protein. The dish would have been so much more successful using 4 fresh shrimp than the dozen or so watery gross things that were on that plate. Unfortunately the rest of the plate didn't make up for the shrimp. The beans became mushy from over cooking and the radicchio was a wilted mess, the wine sauce was indistinguishable and there was an overall lack of salt and seasoning. This honestly was such a disappointing dish. I would not recommend anyone eat this.

For entrees, I had the Pici alla Fondelli ($17.50) (home made fettuccine with wild boar ragout) which was pretty good but was generally under seasoned and lacked an overall richness and complexity in flavor. The pasta was quite nice and well made and the boar was tender. My wife's dish, the Risotto ai Frutti di Mare ($19.50) was generally disappointing. Again we found the cheap frozen tasteless shrimp being used and it generally lacked salt and flavor. Risotto is supposed to have a complex full flavor and the dish was, well...very flat, one note, and obvious. It just lacked that flavor that makes you want to take another bite.

Dessert, Tiramisu, was homemade, quite good and was a very nice light ending to the meal...the best thing we ate all night.

So, all in all, with a $120 bill (including T&T) we agreed that outside of the desert, nothing we ate made us say, ""mnn this is so good"" and would draw us back. In general every item on the menu is about $4-$5 overpriced. It was overall pretty disappointing because Tuscan Hills is supposed to be one of the better or best Italian Restaurants in FH so we really were hoping to have found a local spot for our Italian fix, but i guess we'll have to continue going to Manhattan to get a quality meal as FH just consistently missed the mark on every dish. At the prices being charged, you should expect a very good quality meal and it just missed the mark on multiple dishes. I'd like to say it was an off night or give them some benefit of the doubt, but on a Saturday night, having each dish be lacking in some way or totally, i just can't.

We particularly love the Gamberi Toscanaccia and the Crespele among the appetizers. All of the pastas are excellent, but best of all Roberto, the chef, always has a main dish fish ""special"" which is really truly special. We've had monkfish, dorado and branzino, all of which were beautifully prepared. The staff is friendly and efficient, and this restaurant has justifiably become a favorite among our group of friends.

We have eaten there several times and found the food and service to be excellent! Try the pizza! The other food is tops too! The owner is also the chef and that's always a plus :) Highly recommended! One more thing, the desserts are also amazing! Go, go, go!

I have only been here once, but I had a great meal. The veal seasoned with sage and served with mashed potatoes was delicious. I also thoroughly enjoyed the tiramisu. My girlfriend had the thick spaghetti with spicy sausage, which was also really good! The bruscheta pomodoro was full of great flavors, and the bread was nice and airy in the middle and had a nice crunchy crust!

The chef also comes out to check on everyone's meals, which was a real nice touch.

I highly recommend it.

Everything Roberto cooks is delicious! We've been there about 4 times and look forward to returning for another great meal. They got their liquor license (finally); they serve wine&beer. It's a great dining experience.
