Our neighbors usually watch our dog, Coco, when we are away. However, last time she barked so much that the neighbor across the street was annoyed when we got back. My husband had had enough and wanted the dog debarked. After refusing to do that he insisted that she be boarded whenever I was gone. The thought of putting her in a cage for a week to only be let out a total of 45 minutes seemed just mean. Thankfully I found Fetch. Coco spent a week with Ellen. Obviously, it is hard to tell just how much she enjoyed her stay, but I can say for sure that she seems normal and not overly clingy. I will definitely use them again.

We adopted 9 month old Moxie in February, then realized we needed to go away for a weekend in late March. I had high anxiety about what we were going to do about Moxie. I was thrilled to learn about Fetch and the services they provide. They connected me with Patty... what a relief!!! Moxie and I went over to meet Patty and her dog Sheila prior to the weekend. It was love at first sight!!! Sheila welcomed Moxie in usual doggie-sniffing style... Patty and I shook hands LOL. Sheila and Moxie took off running and playing in her immense backyard. Moxie was in 7th Heaven!!! After talking for about an hour, Patty asked if I had any fears... I said only one... Moxie may not want to come home after spending a weekend here!!! Patty is a true lover of dogs. I knew Moxie would receive all the love and care she gets at home. Fortunately, Moxie was happy to see us when we returned. It was so great to not have to worry one bit. Fetch is such a well run organization and have done their homework well in finding an excellent sitter in Patty. I recommend Fetch and particularly Patty to any pet lover. In fact, I told my husband... the next time he has to visit his family up north... he can take Moxie and I'll stay at Patty's!!! LOL Thank You Thank You Thank You!!!

I met Tammy & Stedman (and their employee Andrea, cat person extraordinaire!) at a few animal benefit events around the area last fall, just as I was in the market for a permanent cat sitter. I'm not only a picky customer (sure, call me a "cat lady," I dare you!), but I also am a long-time volunteer at the local Humane Society in the cat ward, so I've met more than a few well-meaning, self-proclaimed animal lovers who will still cringe from a messy litter box, or wince at the idea of pilling a cat.

I have 3 big male cats that are sometimes "difficult." One of them is on Prozac, if you catch my drift. And sometimes messy, as boys can be, but they are like my furry children and I love them. And I have cat-owning friends willing to feed my cats but don't like cleaning up messes, and don't like giving medications. So the most important thing to me was to find a pet sitter that didn't just "love" animals, but had a real sense of responsibility and thoroughness, attention to detail and follows directions. So, sorry, high schoolers--I needed a pro, not someone pet sitting for some extra cash on school vacations. We all want things the way we want them, even if it might seem kooky to someone else.

I knew Fetch's reputation as a national brand because my mother had used them in the midwest for her dog and loved Fetch, but meeting Stedman and Andrea was such a relief! The Fetch team of NW San Gabriel is first class. The initial visit, which I have been through twice with myself and at my friend's, was really thorough and in-depth, down to what kind of toys the animals liked and my cats' sleeping habits.

True to form, my cats were a bit difficult for Andrea (some separation anxiety--for the cats, I mean, not me--this time at least), but shockingly, my most neurotic, Prozac-chewing cat was out of hiding during the first visit and looking for some loving from Andrea. Already, what a huge break-through. And being a little cat-neurotic myself, normally I call my friend who takes care of my boys at least once a day to find out how they're doing, if not more! But I only felt the need to check in with Andrea once after Christmas, to make sure everything was going well. I trusted her with them fully, and didn't worry once for a change while I was on vacation. And that was just 4 days. Wait until I go somewhere for 2 weeks!

Already two more of my friends have signed up with Fetch too, especially since we can't all stagger our vacations and occasionally travel together. Lucikly, I'm only blocks away from one so it wasn't far for Andrea to go, and we get a very honest "report card" for our kitties when we return home. Stedman is very thorough and followed up right after my visit to see how things went from my perspective. I just cannot recommend them highly enough!!

Just like most normal humans, my wife and I have to leave our cat home every once in a while. And just like most normal people, we sometimes have to leave her for more than just a couple of hours, which can do quite a number on a pet owner's nerves. Is your cat safe? Who's going to check on her? Is she going to get bored by herself? What if she gets into an accident and you don't find out until you come back two weeks later? Who's going to feed her? Are aliens going to abduct her and splice her DNA with John Donne's?
That's where Fetch! Pet Care of NW San Gabriel Valley (or Fetch! Pet care of South Pasadena - it seems they go by both names) came in. Faced with no choice but to leave our cat home alone for three and a half days while we went to a wedding, I was left with the unenviable task of looking for a place that could A) take care of our beloved pet and B) do it well.
Much to my surprise, I found a host of places that came highly recommended and seemed to be perfect for the occasion, but none looked more professional than Fetch! Sure, a glitzy website could just be a front for a dastardly Maltese cat-kidnapping organization, and online recommendations can definitely be fakes, but forging an entire image like that? Unlikely at best.
What followed after I'd made my choice far surpassed the high expectations that I already had. Stedman (the NW San Gabriel Valley branch owner) contacted me both via e-mail and phone to set up an appointment, and his tone was so incredibly friendly and professional that I was assured at once that no aliens would be abducting my beloved cat. We also went over some details regarding their services (we got daily visits for our pet) and other such things.
The consultation visit was just as expected. Stedman arrived together with our future cat-sitter, Tiffany, and both of them were extremely nice, asked all sorts of relevant questions (food, toys, and other such niceties), made sure to meet our cat, and addressed all our questions fully. By the time we left for the wedding on Friday, I was not only convinced that our cat would not be abducted by aliens - I was also convinced I wasn't dealing with a Maltese cat-kidnapping organization.
Pet owners tend to fret when they're away from their pets, but everything had gone so well that we did not worry about our cat at all while we were away at the wedding (we did think of her, of course - like every other pet owner, we think ours is perfect), and, not surprisingly, we came back to a clean home, a happy cat, and a thorough report of Tiffany's experience with our cat, itemized for every single day.
As if that weren't enough, Stedman made a follow-up call next day to make sure that we were completely satisfied with their service, which of course we were. The truth is, now that I know that we don't have to settle for pet sitters who aren't collaborating with aliens or Maltese goons, and can instead rely on what I would describe as a genuinely premium service (a term that I don't use lightly), we can rest assured knowing that we will know exactly who to call in the future when we need to leave our cat home for more than a few hours.
