I joined this Events and Adventures club in another city and then transferred when I moved to the Atlanta Georgia area so I am now a member of Events and Adventures Atlanta and I am still loving my decision to sign up. I have met more new people - both men and women - and have yet to meet anybody unhappy or unfriendly. That is saying a lot if you new how many people I met in my former city. Now, if I listened to what other people say I would be a miserable woman sitting home alone. I am a big girl and can pay my own way and do my own thing and at least I know that everyone I meet thru this club have sufficient income to do the same.
In the past I have dated guys that could barely pay their own rent much less a mortgage so I for one am glad that this company has a really thorough screening process. The last thing I want is to hook up with a loser who wants me to pay both mine and his bills. :)
Women and men if you are single and perhaps work more than you should, you owe it to yourself to live your life out loud and if you need help making new friends events and adventures clubs are a perfect remedy for shyness. You will learn to enjoy your life and even become more daring in your career - at least that is what happened to me. Right now I am sitting in a hotel in Waikiki waiting for the rain to stop so I can go snorkeling and two of the people with me I met in the club!

I called about this group after hearing about it on the radio. Sounded fun and something different to do in order meet people of the opposite sex.

I spoke to a rep who gave a cheerleader overview of a great, exclusive social singles membership organzation. She could answer very few questions -- it was clear that she was just setting the bait.

I went ahead and made an appointment during my lunch hour. I got several "reminder" calls up to the meeting date. The rep on the phone failed to mention that the meeting lasts between 60 - 90 minutes. This information was also not in the detailed email sent in preparation for the meeting. However, the email was clear regarding "your time is valuable and so is ours" type of thing--encouraging you to actually show up or at least reschedule your appointment.

After arriving and waiting 15 minutes, the Receptionist informed me that the person I needed to speak to would not be available for an additional 30 minutes. What happened to your time/our time is valuable??? I certainly did not receive a call in advance indicating that the person was running behind schedule. Apparently, it is just their time that is important.

I kindly told the Receptionist that I would not wait and would not return as their service thus far was unprofessional -- I could only imagine what an "event" would be like based on my initial experiences.

I called the corporate office to share the feedback...once again, the service was poor. Held on the phone for 10 minutes with no status update. Hung up, then, called back and left a message for the manager. Would you be surprised to know that I didn't get a call back?

The concept seems to be a good idea but it is clear that the folks running the show need to improve their process. From what I understand, this "exclusive" club is expensive...if they coordinate activities with such unprofessionalism as describled, I really do not think my money (or yours) would be well spent here. I think I'll wait until this organization can get their act together!
