Torah Club Bible Study, Mondays, 7-8:30 pm
Pastor Mark Biltz

This is a hebrew roots teaching and healing ministry. It is a place to learn more about the jewishness of Jesus (Yeshua,) learn about God's calendar, and the feast days.

I have attended for four years and love the teaching and the people. I came from a background of controlling and manipulative religious leadership, and am very thankful to be in a congregation of diverse people, with a humble and approachable pastor. It's so refreshing to meet a pastor who doesn't think he has it all figured out, who is meek and willing to midrash (discuss) the finer points of scripture without getting offended.

If you attend a Sunday church, you are welcome here, and will not be pressured in any way to go or stay. I have learned so much, and received such personal ministry that has changed my life, and have been so blessed. I don't need someone to pressure and manipulate me to stay where the love of God is, right?

Some people just come for the festivals, like sukkot and passover, and that's fine. We celebrate all the Lord's festivals, because Yeshua celebrated them, and they all point to Messiah anyway, so it's great to connect the dots together.

We recite the Shema and a brief statement of beliefs at the beginning. Don't let this intimidate you--it is an orderly and beautiful way to start worship.

There is worship after a mid-meeting break, and hebraic dance for those who wish to join in.

We are trying to reinstate our after meeting "oneg" meals, as community is important to us. We are encouraged to have home fellowship, especially on erev shabbat. There are online helps to learn how to do this.

If you come, be sure to meet the pastor, and pick up some free audio teachings on the way out. If you can't come, be sure to visit the website for great audio teachings, other materials, and helpful links. Just come and visit! Casual attire is appropriate.

The congregation tithe is collected in a box in the back; no basket is passed. The assembly itself tithes to several local ministries, and possibly some international ones.

ESM supports Israel, and prays for them weekly.

There is so much more I could say. I just hope those who love Israel and who need and love the Messiah will come just once and be blessed.

Shalom,

CG
