Bikram yoga is hot yoga. This yoga studio opened in the fall of 2009 and is beautifully appointed and the owner and staff are very welcoming!! I took advantage of their $10 Introductory offer which lets you try the bikram yoga studio for 10 consecutive days. While I've practiced yoga in the past, Bikram yoga was totally new to me. They are great about emphasizing that your practice is at your own pace or level. There are more than 15 classes per week at a wide variety of times: 6am, 9:30ish, 4pm on weekdays and weekends. This class is not for wimps!! (smile) After my 1st class they were great about providing me with info about the temperature and any responses I may have had to it. (I felt a little bit dizzy for a couple of minutes during my first class. The 2nd class I did not feel dizzy at all. Knowing the routine the 2nd time around also made the class time go by so much faster!) It's amazing how good for your body this yoga practice is - the 26 postures warm and stretch and restore 100 percent of your body systems. I recommend you look at their website under "Health Benefits " to see how each pose benefits different body organs & tissues. I felt significantly healthier and stronger after just 2 classes and will definitely be going back!
