I took my 03 Mini Cooper s to another bmw/mini shop in Wilmington for an oil change, and I left with a huge estimate for problems that "needed to be fixed immediately." Fortunately, I got a second opinion from Motor Works. Not only would I have been overcharged if I went back to the other shop, but I would have been paying over 1k for problems my Mini didn't even have! Tim, Dan, and team are honest and do a great job!!

By far the best auto-work experience I have ever had. My car is getting up there in terms of miles and I have now had it serviced 3 times at Wilmington Motor Works, all for unrelated issues, and each time I have left with a positive experience! The office manager, Dan, is very helpful, and quite the little gentleman. Tim, the shop's owner and chief mechanic, has proven to be very knowledgeable and has made me very comfortable with all the work I've had done. The best part is that they have done the jobs for less than any quote I had otherwise received. I won't use another mechanic for the life of the car!

Great service! They (Tim and Dan) were both very pleasant.Tim determined the problem and explained it to me (so I could understand), sent for the part, and fixed it in about 1.5 hours and a very reasonable FEE!
In addition, he called me a couple of days later to follow up on the maintenance. I was happy to report to him that my car passed inspection and that my engine check light was OFF!
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Tim for maintenance and customer service!!!

I was referred to Tim but was apprehensive to go to him for the following reasons:
1. It's 60 miles each way (not convenient)
2. I had been to Wilmington BMW Dealer (Schaeffer) in the past and was very disappoointed with the work, price, time and travel involved and especially the poor customer service.
However, it was near inspection time and my check engine light was on, so I decided to go to Tim. I am very happy to report the trip was well worth it!!!

I have been completely satisfied with Tim and his Wilmington Motor Works for over a year. I own a 1996 VW Getta GL and have found Tim and crew completely available and ready to assist offering the best in technology and service. I've been totally satisfied with Wilmington Motor Works and would highly recommend them to anyone needing a dependable, honest and fair priced shop to deal with.
Sincerely,
Jeremy Ballance

In my area, it is particularly difficult to find someone who offers quality service at a fair price, as well as a sense of confidence in the resulting work. Surrounding dealerships (and some independent mechanics) really gouge customers.

I drove 75 miles to Wilmington Motor Works today. It was the best decision I've made with my BMW 325i. My experience exceeded my expectations. I went in needing an Inspection II, A/C repair and State Emissions Inspection (talk about a potentially scary bill at the dealerships!). Not only was the price fair, my car drove like a dream. It runs like the day I bought it!

Take some time to get to know these guys. Tim and the gang know what they're doing, they take care to explain to you exactly what they're doing, and they do it right the first time.

Plus, I mentioned that I had an issue with my sunroof panel and they took my car right back in, spent a few minutes on it and took care of that too (at little to no cost)!

Tim and his crew are honest, hard-working guys. He summed it up when he said to me today - "treat people right and they'll come back".

He's exactly right. I'll be back there for EVERY issue in the future, period!

Wilmington Motor Works is the best! I have had such a hard time with mechanics in the past overcharging and being dishonest. Tim is very open and honest, takes time to explain things, and has great prices.

Thanks Wilmington Motor Works!

Simply the best!!! Tim and his staff are not only great mechanics (BMW speciality) but they honestly care that your repair experience was positive. Great work attitude and you cannot beat their repair pricing!
