We had Dr. Adam Honeckman perform a diagnostic ultrasound on our companion animal, Amber, after having lost another companion, Peach, who died at AVS.

Dr. Honeckman is a board certified SPECIALIST and a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine.

His written report is very lengthy, gives valid and detailed reasons for his recommendations, and is extremely thorough. It is akin to what you would expect if you, yourself, had the same procedure done. In fact, it is equally as detailed and slightly more detailed than some reports that I have had myself after having undergone the same test, which speaks to Dr. Honeckman's attention to detail.

Since Dr. Honeckman is a mobile vet, he can come directly to your primary care veterinarian. I do not know all of the equipment that he has, but I do know that he had the expertise, credentials, and equipment to perform gastroduodenal endoscopies, colonoscopies, and ultrasound. I wish that I had known this before we took our girl to AVS.

From our experience, it is our opinion that your companion will get much better care and more thorough/accurate diagnostics than what he/she will get at AVS. In addition, you can be assured that your companion will be seeing a board certified specialist from the get go, and not an intern. It's another alternative, and I hope one that you and your primary vet will consider if you need a veterinary specialist in internal medicine.

Dr. Honeckman's phone number is 321-279-3MVD. The name of his business is Mobile Veterinary Diagnostics, P.A. I highly recommend him.
