While training for the Seattle to Portland bike ride I had a pretty bad fall off my bike. After a few days the pain in my neck and back got worse. Dr. Cummins was able to see me the same day that I called. I went into his office with my pain level at about 8 out of 10. I left his office with ZERO pain! I began going 2-3 times a week and responded to treatment quickly. I was back on my bike to resume training in a week or two. I was thrilled to be feeling better so quickly and without having to take any medication. I have never been to a chiropractor before and I wish I had gone sooner for basic spine care. I will continue to do traction at home to maintain my spine. It's easy!! My neck and Back feel great and I am able to continue my active lifestyle symptom free. Thank you!

At age 18, I was diagnosed with lumbar scoliosis and was told that I would probably not have any back issues as I grew older. Boy, were they wrong!\nPhysical activity has always been an integral part of my life. Growing up, I participated in the basic sports, such as football and track. I also enjoyed the more non-traditional sports like racquetball, tennis, and golf. I water-skied in the summer and snow-skied in the winter. In my early 20?s, I got hooked on volleyball, playing indoor and outdoor leagues, doubles, quads, and sixes, three and four times each week. In my mid-to-late 30?s, mountain biking became my passion sport as I began to experience more and more low back pain from the higher impact sports I was playing at the time. In my early 40?s, I really began to struggle with almost any physical activity. I quit running, fly fishing, hunting and biking. Soon, even simple tasks, such as standing and walking became more and more difficult as the pain intensified. As my activity levels decreased, my mental and emotional outlook began to falter. Pain was with me 24 hours a day, seven days a week.\nThroughout the years, I had heard of, and tried, many therapies from traditional medical methods, such as pain medication and anti-depressants, physical therapy, massage therapy, and various types of chiropractic treatments. I spent countless hours researching new treatment protocols for pain management as I desperately wanted to avoid back surgery. During this time, I read about a new chiropractic technique on the internet that was specifically suited to help people with scoliosis manage their pain and provide them with a different alternative to surgery. Even though it was clear that this treatment would not ?cure? my scoliosis, it provided an alternative for my pain management quest.\nAfter six months of treatment from Dr. Cummins, I can honestly say that it has been life-changing. His approach embodies basic elements of structural mechanics that have provided me with decreased pain with prolonged, pain-free periods of time. He is professional, honest, intelligent, and has strong clinical skills coupled with an intuitive knowledge of how this disease process impedes the biomechanical movement of the human body. I have gone from only being able to stand and walk for a 60-90 seconds to walking for more than 30 minutes with minimal pain since I have been under his care.\nI think the most compelling testimonial that I can provide is that when I had reached my early 40?s, I came to the realization that I would never play volleyball again. I had completely given up. One month after working with Dr. Cummins, I was asked to play on our company sponsored volleyball team for a local recreational league. I decided that I would just coach and help the team develop some basic offensive and defensive skills. After the first few games, I was feeling better and decided that I could probably play as the team?s setter without too much trouble and physical discomfort. W

A couple years ago I experienced several accidents?falling on ice I broke my left wrist, fell from a balcony and jarred my whole body cutting my leg to the bone and then while exercising pulled a muscle that felt like a tear. I was in extreme pain. I took pain medication and hot baths but still was in a great deal of pain. I went to physical therapy for about six (6) months. They moved their office and it was too difficult to find another physical therapist so I continued doing all of the exercises prescribed for awhile and eventually felt better. Even continuing with the exercises, I had a hard time getting rid of the pain in my right hip. After a year I noticed that it was significantly better like something inside healed but I still had times when it hurt really bad leading me to believe that something wasn?t right. I didn?t hurt when I walked but getting in and out of the car was not a pleasant experience. I grocery shop and run errands for my 85 year old mother and found that I just dreaded all of the movement that was required but I needed to do it and it upset me that I was actually in pain. I have never had chronic pain in all of my years and I didn?t like it at all.\nA friend introduced me to Dr. Cummins and I thought it over for awhile and decided that it was time to do something about my pain issue. I wanted it to go away and, hopefully, go away for good! I knew that I needed to get back on an exercise and stretching routine, lose weight and take better care of myself and now was the time. I just needed direction to make sure that I was doing the right things.\nI visited a chiropractor one other time when I injured my neck while lifting a heavy saucepan in a restaurant I owned in Oregon. After a series of sessions, I found myself pain free so it was easy for me to give chiropractic care a chance again. They wanted me to have surgery but with chiropractic care, I did not have to have surgery and that was 12 years ago.\nWhat impressed me the most about my visit with Dr. Cummins is that he covers wellness issues. He is interested in the wholeness/wellness of his patients. He took ex-rays, stress tests and reviewed everything before setting a plan for me. When I visit the office, I go through the stretching exercises, traction and adjustments that are specific to me and my needs. I review all of the things that I need to be working on for self care to rebuild a healthy lifestyle for myself. I am the only one who can make the changes that will make sure that I remain healthy and active for the rest of my life. Dr. Cummins is pleasant and communicative as he works with me. He involves me completely in my therapy. It is then up to me to make sure that I practice all of the care outside of the appointments. I am building good habits through his direction for making sure that I remain pain free.\nIf you are not sure about chiropractic care but are sick of hurting, give Dr. Cummins a chance. You won?t regret it. He has a wonderful staff who make it

I am a member of the University of Washington varsity crew, but I also love several different martial arts, mountain biking, skiing, and pretty much anything that requires maximum stress on the body to provide a maximum amount of fun and fitness. Although I have a team of physical trainers that help me with minor injuries, the pain never completely goes away. After a more serious injury at a Jiu-Jitsu sparing match, Dr. Cummins explained an analyzed my spine after an x-ray scan. Under his care, he made the excruciating pain go away in record time with his permanent healing methods, making it possible for me to keep proving myself on every athletic battlefield. I am forever grateful, Dr. Cummins!!!!\nAfter an injury during a Jiu-Jitsu sparring match, I injured my upper back to the level of not being able to turn my head in all directions. During a period of four chiropractic sessions with Dr. Cummins, the pain is completely gone from my spine. I like the feeling of unlimited trust that I have in Dr. Cummins?s knowledge and chiropractic skills. I would defiantly recommend this treatment for others! Because the results of the treatment are obvious and almost instant and the atmosphere in the clinic makes you feel better if you had a hard and stressful day. I hope Cummins Chiropractic and Wellness keeps doing their great work because they really made me feel a whole lot better, not only with their expertise, but also with their friendly approach and focused goal: healing a patient permanently.\n

I started suffering from low back pain 2 years ago. I thought rest, massage and ibuprofen would heal it. I was skeptical of chiropractors due to a problem my father had with one 30 years ago. Fast forward 18 months. Dr. Cummins came to my company Health Fair. His total approach to wellness caught my attention. Clearly my self-medicating and massage were not working. He gave a brief overview of his beliefs and approach along with a complimentary posture exam. His warmth and friendliness convinced me to go to his office for a more in depth exam. After thoroughly explaining my results and his recommendations, I felt comfortable enough to begin treatment. After ONE treatment my back felt significantly better. I couldn?t believe it! Here I suffered for 18 months for nothing. I knew one treatment would make me feel better, but not completely fix the problem. Each continuing treatment yielded better and better results. Now, 2 months later, I no longer have any problems or pain.\nI highly recommend Dr. Cummins and wish I had met him sooner.\n

\nBEWARE!! REALLY???? ALL 5 STARS REVIEW?????\n\nIn the beginning, I felt great about going, the doctor and staff ""were"" friendly. The doctor did have lots of fancy equipments and theory. Unfortunately after many many times visits nothing really improves in my neck. \n\nSure, everything sounded great if you ""continue"" going and you probably tell yourself tomorrow will be better.... but how much more $$$??? If you don't have great insurance coverage (like MS employees), beware! \n\nOk, thanks. Service/friendliness in the end, -1 star. \n\n

My neck is cured! The diagnosis and treatment plan were perfect. I never thought I would be pain free - but I am now and have been for over a year. I no longer have pain when I ride my bike, sail, or any of the many other activities which a year ago would have meant I couldn't turn my head for days afterward. I got so used to backing the car with the mirrors I forgot what it is like to be able to turn my head and actually look out the rear window. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I am a huge fan of the treatment and love to tell others about what the office has done for me.

This is the best chiropractic office in the state of Washington and if you come there once you will agree. Their service, commitment, and personable staff will make you feel at home and they all want you to succeed and improve. \r\n\r\nI had a misaligned spine and would have lower back pain after more than an hour of standing and decided to go to the chiropracters. The location was convenient and close. I would highly recommend Cummins Chiropractic & Wellness because of their dedication and commitment to each and every single client or customer. Doctor Cummins knows everyones name and so does the receptionists, Anna and Paula. \r\n\r\nNot only do they offer great service, the staff makes you feel at home and greets you with a very warm reception. I enjoyed going to the chiropracter for this very reason, because they care about you and genuinely want you to get better. They have helped me to get in a position where my lower back pain has subsided and they have also prepared me to play sports collegiately and I thank them very much for that. \r\n\r\nSo in conclusion, if you are looking for a very well educated, personable, and friendly doctor, then Dr. Cummins is for you and the staff also are extremely personable, friendly, kind, beautiful, and helpful.

I started coming to Dr. Cummins about 4 months ago, and the results both physically and mentally have been beyond what I expected. I was deployed twice in the Army, and had been in explosions and bared the weight of heavy body armor for hours upon hours, day after day. Needless to say, I came home with bad posture and back pain. Through the years I figured that it would be something that I would just have to live with, and got used to it for the most part. A year ago I started Crossfit, and my back problems really came to light. My inflexibility was holding me back from my true potential, especially in the olympic lifts. After months of stretching and rolling with little improvement, a trainer and fellow soldier recommended me to Dr. Cummins. I was skeptical in the beginning, especially not knowing anything about chiropractors. I decided to give it a shot, and am very pleased. I have seen huge gains in my ability to accomplish technical movements, and so much stress has been relieved from my back that I thought would never be gone. I have also seen improvements in my mental health as well, things that I thought were related to my deployment. My posture has also improved, which somehow has given my a new sense of confidence that was lacking before. I highly recommend Dr. Cummins to anyone in need of chiropractic care, athletes, and especially veterans.

Like a ticking time bomb that only years of neglect and slouching could trigger, my back went out one night and with it my ability to work. I had been driving the Factoria route for UPS for over two years so I had already become familiar with Dr. Cummins office and staff. I was always quite impressed to see the traction devices in use, patients diligently warming up on the swivel-stool or exercise ball and overall seeing what I had thought to be therapy far beyond what a chiropractor would offer. I had been a patient of four different chiropractors in the past and had never seen more than a table with vibrating rollers offered as traction. Needless to say I was impressed enough that Dr. Cummins was the first person I turned to with my injury. Within a month I had eliminated all the sources of poor posture at home and was walking upright with little or no pain. Within two months Dr. Bob and Anna Cummins had me eating better and feeling better through their free nutrition seminar, and within three months we were both counting down the days until I returned to work! We were both a little nervous my first week back to work given the strenuous nature of my job. Though having returned to work nearly four weeks ago and still going strong it looks as if my biggest hurdles are behind me. It hasn't been smooth sailing the whole trip and there's a long road of recovery ahead. But I would have never gotten this far without the Cummins team at my back! (haha, get it?!) I am extremely grateful to Dr. Bob and Anna Cummins and assure you they have a patient and friend for life!

After sustaning a back injury at work, I went to see a couple other chriopractors before I met Dr. Cummins. With these other doctors I was treated like a number and rushed through with little to no follow ups. I was handed off exercises that didn't make a lot of sence to me. Dr. Cummins has worked with me and made me feel like he actually cares about my health and its improvement. He's a great Chriopractor who works with his patients on a personal level. Since comming to Dr. Bob's office my back strength has improved and my lower back pain has become nearly non-existant. Great expirence all around.

When I saw what all those car accidents did to my neck, I was shocked! I had jaw pain, shoulder pain, neck pain, and headaches. Dr Cummins outlined a care plan to restore my neck, and get me back on track. My neck feels better after just a few adjustments, and I am confident my health is in good hands!
