Great place!! The staff has been amazing in the care for my 4yr old cat with congestive heart failure. He suffered from Saddle Thrombus in January and the prognosis was not good. The Specialist and Emergency Vet in Renton said euthanasia was the only option for him. I took him to Dr. White and she knew of an old school treatment for dissolving blood clots. We did 2 treatments of DMSO and my cat is now walking normally and enjoying his second chance at life.

They have been great in following up with me on his progress and are always available to discuss new concerns that have come up. This is the best vet I have every been to in my 20 yrs of pet ownership. I will not take my pets anywhere else.

Dr. Hildebrandt is a great vet who will do everything neccesary to make sure your pet is cared for. Dr. Hildebrandt knows his stuff and again will make sure you and your pet are cared for. He worked on one of my dogs who had an aggressive cancer, and he did a wonderful job making sure she was comfortable.
He also puts up with my giant dog that hates being examined with a great amount of patience.

I am putting in a FULL THUMBS UP for the staff concerning the care my 10 year old cat received from Lake Sawyer Veterinary Hospital...I have always been an animal lover and thankfully I have not had to put a whole lot of money into my pets, as we keep them up to date on their shots and spay or neuter them as young pets. BUT......we inherited a wonderful cat named PJ from a dying friend. He was a total indoor cat & we have learned to love him. We had owned him about 6 months & needed some health help. Not really having a vet, we went with a local "run of the mill, in & out vet". Yes, he was treated (as a number) & seemed to get better. But then, about a year into our ownership, his health changed for the worse.
I stopped by LAKE SAWYER VETERINARY HOSPITAL on the way home from work, where I met the smiling face of Dr Jan White. I gave her PJ's symptoms, & she advised to immediately go home & bring PJ back. I did & I KNOW FOR SURE THEY SAVED MY CAT'S LIFE. They took him in immediately and ran some tests, blood, urine, etc. Got almost instant results with their in-house testing capabilities, then sent out other blood to get further results. They found my cat to have EXTREME diabetics. His glucose levels going out of the roof...they advised me of my options. They did not make me "feel" like there were no choices, but gave me ALL my options. My husband & I opted to treat PJ Up to a certain $ amount...not that we do not love PJ but as a pet owner, we could only afford so much......LAKE SAWYER VETS gave him such love and care, within our means. They put him on an IV with insulin and saline to hydrate our poor, sick boy. After 3 days, they sent us home with the proper food, the proper knowledge to care for a cat with diabetics, the tools to do so (ie: how to do a home blood test, how to treat if a seizure happened, etc.) They have cared for my pet & I WOULD DEFINITELY (and have) recommended them to my friends and family who own their own beloved furry family. We must put out a whole hearted "THANK YOU" to the staff at LAKE SAWYER VETERINARY HOSPITAL for your special care of our cat PJ. We definately feel that they gave us the chance to enjoy many more days of PJ's special "PURR". Thank you Dr. Jan, Dr Ben, Tigger, and all the rest of their caring staff that made his survival possible. Sincerely, T&D, PJ's People!!!

Yesterday August 16, 2010 10:30am I took my 25 year old cat in yes 25 to be put down due to the fact she was attacked by a raccoon she couldn't walk and was lethargic,(trying to be a responsible pet owner( yes she was an indoor outdoor cat )but I still didnt want her to suffer)I was told she would have to be evaluated before they even considered put her down, so the vet Tech I'm assuming shaved the site and we found 2 puncture marks 1 was infected and several superficial marks they Gave her Warm IV, Antibiotic shot, and some to take home to give her 2 times a day, morphine for pain control the cat showed no signs of being in pain and an x-ray, and charged me $265.05 they sent her home an hour or so later and said she would be ok ,told me to keep her warm which I did warmed towels up in the dryer placed warm water bottles around her gave her some warm milk and water mixture warmed up her food which she wouldnt drink or eat ,that in a few days she would come around ,they called around 5:45pm to see how she was we told her she wasn't doing well they said it would take at least 24 hours for the antibiotics to take effect and to take her to their after hours hospital but never told us which one or never gave us a phone number for them, well none the less she didn't make it threw the night she passed away at 11PM, the cat is 25 for god sakes I could have saved the money and just waited to have her pass away at home, but I was trying to be a responsible owner and chose to take her to a vet and have the suffering ended and I was refused that option and told to just take her home . where she suffered anyways ..not a good vet to just send a cat home to suffer like this. she should have let me have the option to have her put down but I was refused, talk about animal cruelty this vet is cruel if not heartless, I am a dog groomer in the area and will not even give my customers the option of going to this vet I will refer them to any other then this one Dr.White doesn't take into consideration age,or the animals well being . they are in it for the Oh mighty dollar and not for the care and respect of your animal if you love your Pet DO NOT TAKE IT TO LAKE SAWYER VET!!!! there are Public documents with the health department and the veterinary board https://fortress.wa.gov/doh/providercredentialsearch/ProviderDetail_1.aspx?CredentialIdnt=123767# Again If you love and respect your animal DO NOT TAKE THEM HERE
