I am somewhat new to Seattle and have already visited one pretty pricey vet on Capitol Hill. Then I moved to Greenwood and discovered this clinic via reviews I read on the 'net. Three things:

1) Seems like a great doctor...he is gentle and keeps a smile on his face (even when my dog tried to nip him during shots). He isn't condescending and is the first of three vets in the last year now to catch the fact my dog was getting cataracts.

2) Friendly, nice staff. Actually it was one guy at the front desk but he was really sympathetic with the owners that came in and puts everyone at ease. Professional!

3) The hours (open until 8pm and they are open 7 days a week) and the prices (listed on their site...but $30 a visit? Great!) !!!!! This is HUGE. The first visit is free, after they are reasonably priced and I had no surprises on my vet bill. My first exam complete with shots and meds for flea allergies came out to $60! Exactly what I would expect and be fine with paying, except most clinics will gouge you for about $100 + instead. Thereby putting many pet owners in a heart breaking bind.

My advice, bypass Banfield Animal Hospital on 130th which demands you sign up for some impossible to get out of contract (that still leaves you paying $35 a visit) and go to this place. Now I can finally consider getting my dog his dental and all that other stuff I can never afford elsewhere.

I have precious little papillon who was not spayed and she was about to be 1 and half. Unfortunately, she had mated with my friends pit bull and was pregnant with 6 babies (we found out later). We weren't so worried, we had figured to just gift the puppies to family but about 35 days in we had noticed that she had almost tripled her weight and got worried. So we went to Greenwood Animal hospital because they had the first free visit thing. And let me tell you it was about the best decision I'd made. Turned out that the poor pup could not have been able to reproduce mature babies and there was a serious threat to herself. So the doc suggested to spay her and take out the babies and not waste anytime. He helped us make our decision and gave my family time alone to discuss what we wanted. If we would've wanted the babies then she wouldve had to have a C-section done because there was no other way the babies would make. We were more about her since she was in danger too so we decided to spay her. Thank god my dog is still alive and after 20 days back to normal! The staff was amazing and nice. Place is entirely clean and profession but there was always the family feeling we experienced with the doc. It might be a clinic but it sure feels like home to us, especially now after misha's surgery.

I was scared to take my old kitty to a new vet even after reading good reviews about greenwood animal hospital. But i decided to take advantage of the free exam they had before making up my mind. I made an appointment and took "holly" for her visit. The girl at the reception was nice, she had 3 cats at home and we shared few stories and found out that both our cats had kidney problems!! anyways, then we went in for the exam, the doctor not just acknowledged me but he met holly like it was his cat. i was really impressed. He did his usual stuff...checked everything and then answered ALL my question (i knew answers to most of them before) but he explained every tiny bit of the problem. He seemed very knowledgeable and i could sense the 25 year experience one of the other reviewer mentioned. We did blood work that day and i am take Holly for her dental next week. I was happy with the service and would recommend to my friends. The pricing attracted me first but the quality of care was great and helped me to make my decision to bring Holly back. I appreciate doctors honesty and the passion and love he has for his patients.

This is the kind of place we all need for our pets. I just got my baby spayed here and they are giving Seattle humane society prices to all their clients.
I thought we very getting a really good price but that was not it!!! we got a 25% discount on that already low cost price.
the doc is awesome. he spent so much time examining "Leo" and explained so many minute things.Great place for the greenwood neighborhood. i don't have to go to Renton anymore ..yay!!
hope you stay here for a long time doc!

I have two expensive Scottish folds and did not want to take them anywhere. Luckily I live close to Greenwood Animal Hospital. They were very professional, thorough, and did not try to nickel and dime me. Their prices are very reasonable and they let you know the cost upfront! It is also nice that they have office hours that are content to people who work during the day I was able to get in on a Saturday. I brought them in for their one year check up and will bring them in again! Thank you for taking such good care of my super cute cats!
