i've been to a lot of different therapists in my life, and feel that you have to have a trusting connection with a psychotherapist to do healing work, especially when you have had trauma. i have been very impressed with the services I have received from the staff at BRANCHES. they are caring, professional, discreet, and quick to respond (never more than a day to return calls, and usually within a few hours). a lot of therapists say they use an eclectic approach and really don't follow a structure or treatment modality...be cautious in your search for a therapist who can't answer questions about the kinds of therapy they offer. i really like the CBT and DBT and grief work i have done with my therapist. comparing it to things like massage, acupuncture, and yoga I've tried for my mental health, I think therapy is a special place to do difficult but important work on myself. thanks to BRANCHES i have had a place to work on myself. i continue to move forward from some unhelpful thoughts and behaviors. i would recommend them especially for someone who feels shameful about their issues (sex, drug use, dating, worries) because i don't feel judged when i talk to my therapist. overall, highly recommended!!!

Ms. Bunn has been my counselor. I have had the unfortunate occassion to be on the receiving end of many ineffective therapists over the last three decades including psychiatrists and psychologists. Not here!

The fresh insight and perspective I received from Ms. Bunn coupled with her ability to "attack the slack," helped me to narrow in on my issues and develop a specific plan. Then with gentleness, yet an ability to help me to find my courage, together we battled demons of the past, conquered mountains of despairing memories and now I have hope for my future where no other professional could find a glimmer.

In a word, this therapist, ROCKS! I highly recommend her, but you must be ready to work, play, and be creative. Your world will change and then you will wake up in the morning and smile once again.
