Carnival is quite unique and like no other spot NYC. I went here with a large group of friends and Carnival was terrific.

When entering we were greeted by jugglers, midgets and men on stilts. There are tons of fun carnival games and it totally reminded me of fun times I had as a kid with my family.

If your going with a group planning ahead is crucial is this place tends to get crowded. We were set up with a list through AccessGotham. com. If you haven't heard of them I suggest doing so. We walked in with no hassles, and recevied Impeccable service.

We came here when visiting friends in NY a couple of weeks ago. We had planned just to bowl and then head off into the night, but then found out from the waitress about the club upstairs.

One manager we had been talking to and having a laugh with earlier invited us up and the night took off from there.

Burlesque dancers, jugglers and beers. Definitely an experience.
We had a pretty successful run at the games which saw my girlfriend become the proud owner of a goldfish and a zoo's worth of stuffed animals.

The staff were fun, from bouncers to bar, they were happy to chat with the hyperactive (blame the cotton candy) tourists :)

I read some comments about dress code. I was wearing Converse and a shirt. It seemed to be pretty cool & casual around the place.

Good night had by all.

Carnival is CRAZY! When you walk in there is a huge clowns mouth and the room is just amazing, the bar is huge, and they have special carnival cocktails! I had a cotton candy martini, and it even had a little fluff of cotton candy on it! The games were fun and I won a dinosaur thingy. We played pool too. Fun place to go out to.

Fun energized party atmosphere full of games and entertainment. When you walk in, and you look up it looks like you are in a big circus and there are circus themed games to play , a variety of things to do, you can even win a real goldfish. And there is a bucket of booze called the dunk tank, AMAZING!

Carnival nightclub really is an amazing experience. I went there for the first time two months ago and have become a regular. I def recommend! The place is amazingly lit, and has a backdrop of Coney island style boardwalk games. My first time was with a large group and we were set up with a table and bottle service. A girl with a bachelorette party ended up going into a real dunk tank while we all tried to sink her, which I finally did! One soundproofed area is the "funhouse" which is the dance club part, and the other has perfect sound levels for conversing, partying , or playing those games. Martinis and specialty drink menu is great. So is the cotton candy and popcorn! They have hot stiltwalkers cruising around as well! WTF!!! :)

I had my party last Friday at Carnival - it was amazing. I used a service called BIRTHDAY PARTY BOOKER. COM, which was able to secure me a free bottle of vodka and table for me/friends to hang out at. I thought the room was a blast - it had something for everybody, which is why it was such a success. The drinks weren't too expensive, the free bottle of vodka that birthday party booker got me really sealed the deal. I recommend Carnival to anybody looking to reach outside their comfort zone in order to have a wonderful time - definitely use the service though to plan, as I think they are able to secure cool deals, etc. Thanks!

My birthday party at Carnival was amazing! I was looking at a few options for my birthday and decided to check out Carnival on a weekend. The event planner was there onsite and showed me around. She was really helpful in helping me pick a table and bottle packages. On the day of my birthday...we arrived with a large group and the doorman was really accommodating in making sure we didn't wait in line and got right in. The music was great...and the games were really fun. Overall everyone was really nice and helpful in making us feel welcomed!

I just co-hosted a friends 30th birthday party here for 100 guests. We had rented the Funhouse for ourselves from 8-10pm which was definitely the way to go (paying per person for open bar). The place was very accommodating -- opening up an hour early for us to set up & decorate. The manager remained on site the whole time and were very helpful and friendly. The DJ was great & took our requests. Everyone had a really terrific time. I would definitely recommend it for a private event.

The only reason why I gave this place the rating I did was because of poor treatment. They would have received a 4. They have a great theme, the music is pretty good. Unfortunately this past weekend I had a bad experience there. The bouncers discriminate against minorities.. Sad but true. I wish I had pictures to show you and I regret not taking them but my family and I paid for Table service at this establishment. Our friend was wearing jeans like most of the men who were standing on line. They claim his pants were "baggy." I kid you not he had some relaxed fit jeans on which were slightly folded up with some dress shoes and a Polo and they would not allow him in because of what they claimed above. Next thing you know a Caucasian male is online with "baggy" jeans i mean they were ruffled on his shoes and they allowed him to enter not to mention the many other men in the place who looked like their jeans could use a 5 inch hem! Then some of my cousins arrived at 12 am and they tried telling them that because it was 12 am they had to pay the cover charge of 10 bucks which1 isn't an issue but the cover charge was already included in the table service we paid for regardless of the time. When we spoke to the manager about our situation all she could say about our friend is that its up to the bouncer. The way we took it, is that the bouncers have more say than she did! unfortunate situation and we never even received and apology! Mind you we had a party there 2 weeks prior!

I went to Carnival last weekend for my 28th birthday and had the best time. The concept of the space is really fun and so different from the traditional clubs in the city.

My guests and I had so much fun playing the games and I dunked the guy in the tank on my second try....thank you very much!

I love the stilt walker and woman who made the dirty balloon animals. She made me a rally funny hat, but I won't mention what it was of on here. ;-)

I'm going to go back this weekend if I can wrangle up a group of friends.

I also want to mention how great the event staff is. It was so easy to get what I needed booked a head of time.

I suggest this place to anyone who wants a different nightlife experience and is looking to have a great time with friends!

I went to Carnival for my 23rd birthday party. I went with 6 friends and I did not book it in advance or anything since I knew I could just get there when they opened.

No problems getting in, everyone seemed friendly. Good games, Good carnival snacks (although they should add Funnel Cake) and the Atmosphere was really nice.

My only complaints were expensive (although I was expecting that) and no seating. Because we didn't book in advance, we had nowhere to sit... which sucked since our feet were killing us.

Would I go again? Not 100% sure. But if you do go, do not go until 10:30pm/11pm because before that... it was really lame since no one was dancing, playing games or anything!

After searching for the perfect place to have my 22nd birthday I finally decided to book it through birthdaypartybooker and chose Carnival. (This is coming from someone who doesn't go out in NYC a lot so I really didn't know exactly what I was getting myself into.)
None of my friends had been there before and there were all sorts of mixed reviews online. But let me tell you, THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO.
Honestly, after reading some of the bad reviews people wrote I wonder if they were actually even at this Carnival in NYC.
There is something for everyone at Carnival from a dance floor, great music, games, prizes, plenty of seating, and food and drinks. It literally was one thing after another of awesome things. So honestly, disregard any negative review you read.. this place was GREAT!
All of my friends had the time of their life and continue to rave about it. My friend wants to go back for her 22nd birthday now too!
Do yourself a favor and definitely check this place out... you will NOT be dissapointed.

The only con? It's rather pricey... we didn't pay cover because we booked it through birthdaypartybooker but I was told it's a $20 cover. On top of that, (from what I can remember) average mixed drink price was about $12-$19...but they tasted good!

I was searching high and low for a place for my boyfriend's surprise birthday party, I didn't want the average expensive place with a lot of attitude and drama. I'm glad to say that is not what happened at all. I booked the VIP table for the price of 1 bottle (great) and that was it. All my guests got in easily and didn't have to wait in line, the service was great. Some people here have said it can get packed, I went on a Friday night and it really wasn't too packed at all, there were a lot more people as it got later, but it was really fine. The one sucky thing was that the line for the bathroom got long. But honestly the DJ was good, the service was great, there were no problems what so ever, and everyone had a good time. Just be prepared, if you get a table...ask for a table in the Funhouse (highly suggested if you want a place to sit).

NYC was long over due for something unique and Carnival was exactly that. I decided to plan my boyfriend's 25th birthday at Carnival after stopping by and seeing the place. Althought most people preferred the private room (Funhouse), I thought getting a table in the main room would be better. None of our friends had any issues getting in. Music was good...games were fun. Although the service could have been better.

I wanted to write about my experience at Carnival on New Year's. My friends and I couldn't have had a better night. Last year we had a major nightmare at one of the nightclubs in the city with the place being overcrowded. We called the Carnival ahead of time since our group was over 25 people. We were told to purchase tickets for the Funhouse since it was more private. We ended up upgrading to a VIP table and we got a discount. The DJ was amazing and our waitress made sure there were enough cups, ice and juices all night. I would definitely recommend this place for parties. Everyone was so accommodating!

I had my going away party at Friday at Carnival and was really happy everything ran smoothly. I had roughly 150 people and reserved the entire Funhouse area. The event planner worked out a pricing for the party which surprisingly wasn't too expensive. The waitresses made sure each tables had drinks all night. I'm really glad the party went smoothly.

I recently hosted our company's holiday party at Carnival. We heard a few things about Carnival and figured it would be good to try something new. It worked out really well since our clients were there as well and had a good time.

I decided to have my 23rd birthday at Carnival since it was new. I called up and the event planner was kind enough to show us the place. It was really nice...finally something different in New York. The event planner was nice enough to set us up with a table in the Fun house. The DJ played the typical music (hiphop, 80's and top 40's). Overall Carnival was perfect for my birthday party...all my friends had fun and had no issues getting in.

I went there on 11/21 to celebrate my Birthday with friends. 1st of all, we made up the hand-full of blacks and minorities in the place. When we went to the bar, it was crowded with whities and some of them were looking @ us like "what are THEY doing here" as if we couldn't afford the place. The tickets for the games were pricey and they wanted @ least 4 tickets per game. They have this coat check which is included in the $10 admission but they messed up my ticket and gave me the wrong coat- I just bought it the day before for about $200!!! I'm going there later to speak with a manager and if they don't cut me a check, I am reporting them to the Better Business Bureau and Dept. of Consumer Affairs AND taking them to small claims court!!! I wil let you know how this plays out! They did not leave a impression on me to want to return. Despite this I still enjoyed my night!

Like i said this place had its good parts but the bad parts far out way the good. The female bar tender was a bitch, they were mad stingy with the liquor, the drinks were horrible and watered down, the snow cone liquor was shit, and the games were expensive. The general admission was 25 but its usually 50 dollars and that's too much for such a crappy place. ITS SO OVER RATED

A recent incident at a Chicago night club garnered national media attention when a black patron was not allowed in on the grounds of a strict dress code - no baggy jeans, etc. After switching clothes with a white student, of course the white student was let in with the baggy clothes while the black student was not. The club was busted, and labeled ?racist?. They deserved it.

If you think about it, dress codes are intended to keep certain people away, and to get everyone to conform to a standard. But in NYC, style is as much a part of anyone's expression of their individuality as anywhere else on Earth - and yet, when I walked haplessly into Carnival on the horrible advice of a desperate promoter (go figure), I was told to remove my hat. ?Why??, I asked. It was explained to me rather condescendingly, that, "Carnival is trying to become a 'premier night club', so take it off, now." Exact quote.

Now look, this club flat out stinks, whether they asked me to take off my hat, or not. It's gimmicky, trashy, cheesy, over-priced, crummy service, etc. But the whole concept of trying to be a premier night club is astonishing to me. How dare they?

First of all, premier night clubs actually try to - if you can believe this - cater to their clients!! No way. It?s true, I swear! They have long lists of loyal customers because the customers are treated nicely. When you go to a premier night club, you should feel welcome, relaxed and free to express yourself with style - even if it includes a hat. If you can afford to be there or can get in, goes the business model, enjoy yourself in any way you?d like. Any wonder Justin Timberlake shows up to Marquee in sneakers and a hat, or Jay-Z shows up at wherever else in whatever clothes he damn well pleases? At a premier night club, you are who you are, and you do what you can pay for.

At a crap hole trying to keep "riff-raff" out, you need to take your hat off. So from the second I was told to remove my hat, I knew this place would be a total waste of time. And as predicted, the club ? in its herculean failure to create something interesting ? didn?t disappoint.

And no, management - hiring the least interesting, most ?yesterday's news? loser of a celebrity - Paris ?plow me on YouTube so I can tell the world I have herpes? Hilton - to host the opening won't make you popular. Nice try.

This place is a dump, but if you're up for a laugh, check it out. Just don't wear baggy jeans, sneakers, hats, or anything else that might make you seem black.

Nice try.

This place is amazing!!!! I had no idea what I was in store for when I attended the opening on October 8th. They legit shut down the street for the red carpet- and when Paris Hilton arrived, I knew this place was gonna be...HUGE!!!

Clearly, Bowlmor Lanes knows how to throw a party. They have a working dunk tank (I actually heard Simon (gross!) from Real Housewives of NYC was dunked there on Saturday) and then they have a drink called the Dunk Tank- its like over 2 gallons of alcohol. And it took all night to drink! Needless to say, we didn't do too well at the games...we were a bit tipsy.

I am 100% having my birthday here...and possibly my wedding, I loved it that much! I am a true kid at heart and I think this place speaks to the inner child within us all!

Pros: Dunk Tank (the drink and the game!), Spiked Snowcones

Cons: Where was this all my life?!
