Was very pleased with our food, service and awesome atmosphere during our visit to this unique and charming Bistro in Exton. Apparently, they closed over a month ago and have moved to Exton at Main Street to open the end of June with an expanded menu, seperate room for private party. We are looking forward to supporting this local restaurant. I realize there are some negatives I've read..however...there's always two sides to a story....let's hope the Bistro is very successful with this new and improved endeavor!

We have given Bistro at Our Town more business than I care to mention. I call it loyalty! Recently we planned a very large surprise party with them for a special birthday milestone..they really put the screws to us...called & cancelled on us with a day & a half to the event. Not only were our invitations printed with their name on it, but directions too. Jillian could care less! I asked for my deposit back immediately & that was last week...still waiting. She had the audacity to ask if I would ever come back to their restaurant. Heck no & that is why I am telling all of you! Watch your backs with this management crew!! They really disappointed me & made me jump thru hoopes quickly to make this party happen elsewhere...which we did! Good bye Bistro, you don't deserve loyalty from your customers...because we mean nothing to you.

Their macaroni and cheese appetizer is completely phenomenal. You cannot go for dinner without trying it. The food is totally fresh and delicious. You would never know it's tucked in the corner of the shopping center, but once you've been there, you have to keep coming back!

My husband and I had lunch there yesterday and the food was incredible! We started with the macaroni and cheese appetizer and were really impressed. We expected it to be mac and cheese bites, but instead it was 3 large bowls of 3 different types of mac and cheese. Each one was better than the one before! I had the tuna melt (which was HUGE) and my husband had the salmon. The salmon was served with grilled vegetables (he said they were great) and potato. Everything was cooked perfectly and we ended up taking food home with us because there was so much! Our waitress told us there is a $30 pre fixe menu with BYOB on Friday's that requires reservations. We can't wait to go back! It was worth every penny!!! The entire atmosphere was so cute, this truly is a hidden gem! We would recommend this restaurant to everyone!

Don't pass this place by.

The Bistro at Our Town was open for more than a year before I ever tried it. Tucked into the corner of a shopping center, it is easily overlooked. My wife and I first wandered in for Sunday Brunch. The atmosphere was relaxing, and the food was amazing. It's hard to get TOO excited about brunch (especially the breakfast-like items) but these guys pushed me past my limits. The service was friendly to the point where I felt like I had been a 'regular' for years. The quality of the ingredients was obvious. Everything was perfectly prepared, and the portions were gigunderiferous. Seriously, we were (gladly) eating leftovers two days later.

We vowed to return often and soon.

Then we waited. Too long. Again. But when deciding where to go tonight for a date night, we remembered! And thank god we did. Everything was perfect, again. From fried kale (trust me...try this one) to insane macaroni and cheese to an out-of-this-world chicken dish with artichoke hearts and goat cheese mousse, it was surprise after surprise. And again, the portions were huge. Even as my wife and I tried hard to kill everything, we still ended up with *plenty* left over.

Great service, unique environment, quality ingredients, excellent preparation, and super-ample portions - these folks deserve every bit of success that will (inevitably) come their way.

Dear God- How does one serve under cooked potatoes??? The menu said roasted potatoes; sadly they were still crunchy in the middle. The broccoli rabe was so saturated in garlic it was not edible...and I love garlic. The chicken picatta was greasy and soggy all at once. The Mac and Cheese, their signature dish, was like pasta with some cheesey scrambled eggs in the middle. Clearly the chef (I?ll use that label loosely) has never heard of a b?chamel, which is the base of any appropriate mac and cheese dish. I can not fathom who would rave about this food. For the first time in along time I am willing to say that there were no redeeming qualities about this place. The d?cor looks like a garage sale gone wrong and the wait staff was clueless. If you are going to charge people $15.00 per plate you'll need to step up your game.

We recently had our wedding reception at the Bistro and it was one of the best decisions we made for our whole wedding. The food was to die for, the staff super energentic and helpful (made planning everything very easy for us) and they took care of all the decorating and centerpieces for me. The place looked absolutely fantastic! I got tons of compliments on the food and the atmosphere from my guests. And to make things even better the price for everything was better than I ever expected! Overall they definitely made our wedding reception special and the best night we could've wished for. Thanks everyone!!!!

I live in Georgia and was planning a 75th birthday party in PA. Time was running out and I desperately needed a venue. I found The Bistro at Our Town on Citysearch and read the reviews. I then called and spoke to the owner Ashley and decided this was the place. I booked the place sight unseen! This was in March, fast forward to June. I COULD NOT HAVE ASKED FOR A BETTER EXPERIENCE!!! What can I say Ashley and her staff were the best! I flew in early; we reviewed the final menu, I was able to taste a few dishes and boy was I hooked! The entire staff was so accommodating, so friendly, so kind. I heard over and over again from the guests how they enjoyed themselves. Everything was delicious from the hors d'oeuvres to the main course! Oh I forgot, a big storm hit and the restaurant lost power the day before the party...however I found out they had a backup plan and generators in place if needed. My favorite part was the slideshow I emailed to Jillian that ran throughout the party; pictures were also taken during the party and uploaded into the slideshow! I cannot thank Ashley, Jillian and Tina enough for their hard work and for helping to make the party a success.

Whenever I'm home, I plan to make a trip to The Bistro at Our Town for a good meal!

I have found the perfect place to meet friends, business associates and bring the family. As well as great take out service. I discovered this little treasure tucked in the corner of the Giant Food Store shopping mall, and have not eaten at another restaurant since! I can't say enough about the food, incredible. Fresh fish, vegetables, bread as well as homemade desserts (save room for) Can not think of a thing I would change. PERFECT, Thank you to Jillian and the staff. You guys are awesome!

I found this restaurant through a google search after I called a few other places that were booked for mother's day brunch. It had gotten so many good reviews i figured we would give it a try. Boy was a I wrong.

First it took a very long time for everything. Even though the restaurant was full no one seemed to be in any sort of rush. Even with a reservation it took about 10 min to get seated. Then another 10 to get our order (not our drink order that was someone else). It took about 20 min from sitting down to get our drinks...one glass of water or coffee at a time. The only thing that happened quickly was someone dropping off a pastry plate for the table when we first sat down. This was actually very tasty.

After about 45 min our waitress (there was only 1 waitress taking orders) came over and said our food would just bit a little longer. After almost an hour and half I walked over and spoke to the manager to find out what was taking so long. When getting up I noticed that the couple who sat down before us still had not been served either. The women said she apologized and said that all their food is cooked to order and made fresh and that they over booked and the kitchen couldnt handle the demand.

We were about to get up and leave and the manager came over and informed us that our meal would be free and that we would be receiving gift cards for a future visit. We figured we would wait it out. After waiting for almost 2 and half hours we were hopping for a silver lining in that the food would be worth the wait...sadly it was not. Out of the 5 dishes only 2 were correct/good. My mother's scrambled eggs ordered well done were runny and had multiple egg shells. My brother ordered a shrimp dish in a bourbon cream sauce which came out not reduced and tasted like you were taking shots of alcohol. I order the creme brulee stuffed french toast and while it was very tasty it was more of an orange creme not a creme brulee.

We went next door to a sub shop and got some sandwiches to take home because we were all still pretty hungry. And after talking with the cashier she said we are not the first people to complain. She hasn't heard a positive thing since they opened. And like I said in the title I wanted this restaurant to be good. The menu looked great unfortunately I just don't think the staff has what it takes to run a good restaurant.

**Looking back over the reviews I think they were all written by friends or family or even by employees.

Had dinner a few weeks ago with a friend; neither one of us had been to the bistro before; what a fun experience!

The menu looked amazing and we couldn't decide what to get so we got a few things and split them; mac-n-cheese, the monte cristo (oh my stars, the monte cristo! soooo good) and the califronia burger followed by the desert pizza.

One of the best and most enjoyable meals I've ever eaten out; and I have eaten at some fantastic places.

The desert pizza (drizzled with honey, ornage-infused ricotta, mandarin orange slices and dark chocolate...I could have licked the plate!

This is the first time I have ever thought a restaraunt waranted a review; amazing, fun, wonderful people.

I want to go back. Like yesterday.

We will be back. soon. in the meantime...we are dreaming about that desert pizza...and the monte cristo...and the califronia burger...and the home fries...and the mac-n-cheese...

I never write these reviews but had a hard time resisting after finding this place. I was pleasantly surprised with a lunch date yesterday from 2 friends and it was at this new place called The Bistro in Our Town. I have to admit, I never had heard of it so couldn't really be excited...until I got there.
First ...the people who work there seem just as excited about being there as customers do. And since I go out to eat alot, I have to say that is not the norm. It was so pleasant to see happy smiling faces.
Second..The food is absolutely to die for. We couldn't decide what to order, so we all ordered something different and shared. I highly suggest this!! You get to taste so many things, and the portions---you WILL take food home!! My favorite was the Mac & Cheese, Chicken Cordon Bleu style---WOWOWOWOW!!

The food is soo fresh, and it tastes vibrant. I felt like our table was the only ones there as the food was hot, amazing and they catered to us like we were gods of some sort. And it was busy so not sure how many others felt like this but it looked as everyone there was having an amazing time. We chatted with a few other dinners and couldn't believe no one is talking about this place---really go try it out! I will be back, probably today for dinner.
Thank you to The Bistro, a restaurant who finally gets it!! We will be back, sooner then later, and with families and friends in tow!
YUMMY!

Pros: delicious unique recipes!

What a treat to attend the Tuscan Table - a six course meal served family style with one delicious surprise after another, beautiful presentation and affordable prices. The owner and staff are amazing and make you feel like part of their family. I especially like that they bring the "community" together for one-stop shopping. Midway through the meal we took a breather and checked out information on display from local merchants. Great food, friends, conversation - I'll be back soon with friends for a girl's night out!

After coming back from recent trip to Italy I was greatly surprised to find Italy in my own back yardThe bistro at Our Town is a unique dining experience. Pleasant staff and great food in a laid back atmosphere. I recently took home the Chicken Picatta and a side of kale. What a treat. For dessert I had the most unbelieveable chocolate mousse with a hint of orange. Words cannot do this justice. It is a must try. I was so impressed that we decided to have our family reunion here in the Spring. All we have to do is supply the wine..

These people make kale taste like potato chips but without the guilt!! Most eclectic and tasty menu for miles. Every Friday night they do a Tuscan family style dinner. Make your reservations - I attended one with 13 courses for just $25. BYOB and friends and prepare to be amazed! All types of events and catering on and off site - best place for a party, to learn something new or try something different. They have you completely covered with all of their connections.

I hear they're even looking into gourmet cupcakes!!!
