This guy is a rip off. He quoted me $229 to replace my detergent dispenser on my dishwasher. First he tried to tell me the part is very expensive. Here it is for $40.

Here is the youtube video how to install it in about 2 min.

I guess its my fault for not just doing it myself but we are in the middle of moving and have a lot of other things to do. I would only recommend this guy if you dont care about money.

Note: The appliance in question is 10 years old and has been broken since I moved into a rental property 2 weeks ago. Also, there is NO WAY that this company's positive reviews are genuine...no way. So, on to the review...

I'm a bit taken aback by all of the positive reviews for this place. The technician was friendly enough and presented himself professionally but his standard for quality work seems unsettlingly low! We have a problem with our gas stove where the flame is high on 10, medium on 9, and simmers on 7. The flame then goes out from the low setting all the way up to 6 even though gas still leaks. Clearly there's a problem with the gas delivery. Also, only one of the four igniters works. So, how did the tech fix our problem? He scraped out some carbon from our burners with a safety pin and said that it's working fine now because we can just set the dial to "8" and we get our simmer. Really? That's your idea of a "repair"?!?

As he was trying to pack up and get out with that lame excuse for a repair I told him that I expect the stove to work as it was intended to and that I want to be able to set the dial to low and get a simmer, not a slowly expanding cloud of explosive gas. He then got all grumbly about how a gas valve is expensive and this piece would be "extremely rare" and he'll call me back with an estimate in a few days. Meanwhile, I'm thinking: "A gas valve! Yes, that makes sense! Please put a new one in, thanks!" Why did it take him 30 minutes to bring up a gas valve?

Also, because the appliance has been in the same spot for the last 10 years it was INCREDIBLY filthy underneath the unit (naturally). After the tech was wrapping up there was a lot of gunk and dirt on the floor from when he pulled the stove away from the wall. He grabbed a paper towel and went about cleaning it all up. I thought to myself, "Hey, that's really nice of him!"

Until he just pushed it all back under the oven...Gee, thanks.

Business Response:

The customer when initially called was looking for a free estimate ,he called several companies, we gave him our price and he got back to us after a day when he was not able to find any one who would beat our price.we normally do want to replace parts (he is helping us in writing this review )we made every effort to clean the burners and see if that fixes the problem once we know for sure that gas regulator is bad we advised him next day about part price and availability AS WE DO NOT CARRY THIS PART and we did give him a hint that it will be more than his expectation to fix it as he has even problems paying 40 dollars to take an estimate .if the customers decides to go with the repair we will give 40 dollar credit towards the final estimate which i believe he is not ready to spend as he is renting the property and wants a cheap way out.we learnt from the Tenant that he replaced the range I do not understand why the tenant is unhappy

These guys are truly great when it comes to customer satisfaction. They had fixed the sensor on my fridge, but a couple days later when i called to say it "maybe" wasnt working as well, they ARRIVED THE SAME DAY AND FIXED THE PROBLEM QUICKLY AND FREE OF CHARGE.

They are courteous, knowledgeable and professional. I will gladly recommend them and engage them for any future work.

Oven ignitor was not working, GE Appliance Repair couldn't come until Nov 29th, Sears Repair couldn't come until Dec 2 so we were under pressure to get our oven repaired before Thanksgiving. We live in Ashburn Village and we found them in an advertisement in our HOA newsletter. Called them on Friday afternoon, they were here at 11am this morning. Diagnosed the problem and left to go back to the shop to get the part. Returned an hour later and had our oven running and put back together within 30 minutes. Neil, the owner is very prompt, knowledgeable and expeditious. They even had a coupon for $20 off the repair. Great service and no extra charge for weekend repair.

Same day service, emailed for info in the morning and they had a knowledgable and friendly tech on-site by lunch time.

Confirmed the problem, cost as agreed previously and job well done including cleaning up.

Recommend them for appliance repair and glad to be able to use a good local company
