They re-schedule our appointment three times; however, the plummer was able to fix the problem we had we one of the pipes that was clotted and was causing major problems. We were overall satisfied with the service

I recently had roto-rooter ( 71 commercial st Boston ma) come to a property of mine in Newton and in a short period of time the person who came Steve Hughes dug down to a man-hole and then proceeded to snake out the sewer line which had been clogged.After calling in more help ,roto-rooter determined that the sewer pipe was
Broken in a number of places and needed to be replaced.I really appreciate the knowledge and efficiency displayed.
I called Roto-Rooter at 9PM the night before a party with a clogged kitchen sink. "Reggie" worked on it for 2 hours and when he couldn't unclog it, he called his boss to arrange for someone to come first thing in the morning to work on it. Sure enough, at 8AM "Joe" showed up and by 9:30 everything was working. Oh, and the party went really well. Both Joe and Reggie were great.
I called your dispatching office at 8:00am, by 10:00am Stephen H. was here ready to unclog my main drain line in my condo. From the start he was very friendly and he even wiped his shoes with a little rag before entering my house, nice little touch that I appreciated. He got to work and in about 15 minutes, Presto! I had a free drain that actually drained. During the time he was here he gave me lots of advice in order to prevent this from happening again. You really need to hire more people like Stephen H. in order to continue to give unparalleled service for a long time to come!

I selected the boston, MA one because i think its a bit better than the one in worcester, MA, but there pluming services are both incredible. My restaurant's bathroom got really clogged once because there was to much toilet paper flushed down it so then i called the Roto-Rooter Plumbers and they fixed it in like 1 hour tops for only 100 dollars!! I recommended this pluming business to all my cousins that own restaurants and they all think you guys are phenomenal and that you guys work because you enjoy it. The plumber that helped us is mike and he was really good! This happened 4 weeks ago and are bathroom is still working pretty good compared to the other place that we called up last time. Roto-Rooter is the best with clogged drains. We have major clogs in our 1948 home drains and every five years they reclog-

Boston Plumber. Called roto-rooter on a Saturday night. They made an appointment for first thing Sunday morning. They came and fixed the problem right away. A little pricey, but great service.

Let me start by saying the two guys that came to my house were both really nice and professional. I was very impressed. It's always nice when you have a stranger come to your home, that they are nice and seem trustworthy. These guys were great. The one that did the work was Mike P. from Worcester. The only two negatives with my experience were that the roto rooter dispatcher sent the first guy without a camera, which is what I had asked for. I felt really bad for the technician, but he was very nice about it and didn't blame me. The other negative was that there was no blockage! I totally did not need to call! Oops! My bad. Very expensive piece of mind.
I called Roter Rooter because my sewer line was backing up into my basement. The man on the phone promised someone would be there in an hour. They did in fact show about an hour after I called like they had promised. The plumber was professional and courteous. I liked using Roter Rooter because I called at 9pm on a Sunday and I got a live person on the phone that could tell me when the plumber could get to my house. This is unlike other experiences I have had when you get an answering service and the plumber might call you back days later.
From the initail call to the completion of the job, the Roto team was oustanding! It's not often that I experiebce this level of customer service/customer care. Can't wait for the next clog. ( ok that's a bit of a stretch )

Was very impressed with our plumber, Mike, who really knew what he was talking about and made quick work of clearing our clogged main line and identifying a trouble spot he found in the pipe. I wish he had had his camera with him on the visit, so that is going to require another visit for further review, but I know I am in good hands. I think they are the best in the Boston area.

Very good...arrived with 1 hr of call on a Sunday...you pay a market rate for the convenience but it sure beats running to HD 3 times and spending all of the time and effort to unclog a drain...I would fully recommend...
I had an excellent experience w/Roto-Rooter-the Tech, Ron, was professional, courteous and highly skilled. He went out of his way for myself, my husband and our two toddlers and cleared our main sewer drain disaster. I highly recommend the company, especially if all their employees are like Ron!
My experience was awsome. The response time was less than an hour on a sunday night! The Tech was polite and courteous. He completed the job which was not a simple task, we had roots in the pipes and he explained in detail what he was doing and more importantly how to prevent the problem in the future. When my washing machine and tub were backing up I was concerned, but when the toilet joined in I decided it was time to call a professional. I called my plumber and he told me to call Roto-Rooter. I was shocked when I called and they said they would send someone out that evening. Since it was close to my bedtime I requested a morning appointment. John Diamantides came to the house in the morning and he was like an angel sent from heaven. He found a small clog, and then found a break in the main pipe. He suggested that we should call City Hall and let them know about our problem. He spoke with the city engineer and took pictures of the pipe. The city engineer came out to our home and worked with John. Now the city is coming in the morning to fix the problem thanks to John. If anyone in the city of Boston ever needs a plumber you will not be disappointed in Roto-Rooter! As a representative of Roto-Rooter, John was the ultimate professional, a true asset to the company.
This is my first time to call a plumber to fix a faucet problem for my house. I got Roto-Rooter contact from Yellow Book because it offers online appointment and works on weekend. The technitian is very nice and fixed the problem quickly. Would recommend this plumber!

excellent service. if you need a plumber in the Boston area to unclog your sewer line in the dead of a freezing winter, then these are your guys. Dispatch kept me informed of arrival time, same day service, and he even corrected a drain cap problem. I would definitely use them again.
Getting home from work, after a long day, and realizing that your toilet and tubs are totally plugged is not a good way to end your day. Then to realize that the old plunger is not going to solve the problem leads to the realization that we need help. Roto-Rooter came quickly, worked fast and cleaned up after with great results. Had a clogged soil pipe. Called Roto-Rooter Plumber from Boston. Dispatch told me a man was free and would arrive within one hour. I guess the day was very busy, cause he did not show up until 5 hours later. Not plumber's fault. He is assigned jobs. The plumber's name was Damian. He was very professional and a skilled plumber. Damian took his time to insure that sewerage did not spill all over the basement. He did a great job and I was very pleased.
This has been a tough year for our family and especially my parents (who live next door ) due to the passing of my Father's Brother , the passing of my Sister in June , and several health issues . What else could go wrong in 2010 ? At 3:30 pm on New Years Eve , my Brother came pounding on my door saying that the sewer line to my Parents house and he needed my wet vac to clean the floor and that he could not clear the obstruction , he went back to bail and I got on the phone . I called a service I had used some years ago in my house and was on hold for ten minutes when a woman got on the line and asked " Can you hold? " I replied yes and was left on the line for another twelve minutes . At that point I had had enough , I was going to call a plumber but at4:00pm on New Years Eve in the Boston Area ? I called Roto-Rooter and was speaking to a lady in thirty seconds ( amazing ! ) who asked the problem ,address , and arranged for a plumber to solve our problem between the hours of four to seven pm . At 5:45 pm Ron B snaked the line out 90 feet and cleared the problem (roots) from the line . Ron cured my Parents problem and my sanity on a holiday and was very pleasant . Thankyou !

I had what seemed like a pretty complicated issue to me where some fixtures in my house would cause my toilet downstairs to flood, and some wouldn't. I tried taking care of the issue by myself but to no avail. I called roto-rooter to have someone come out the next day but they had someone out the same day, on time when they said they would. Service tech Ron came out and within no time he had the problem area figured out and his snake down the pipe. He was fast and very polite and personable. I would definitely suggest him, and Roto-Rooter to others.

Roto-Rooter could not get here the day we called but they did arrive the next day to help us out. We had a blockage in the sewer pipe going to the street, found lots of tree roots once he ran the auger down through.
Plumber was very friendly and knowledgable, he went out of his way to confirm his being capable to do the job. He actually told how he was scheduled to come on the previous day when we originally called but had to go and ""bail out"" a rookie co-worker who had gotten his auger stuck in a pipe.
He provided us with some treatments to help prevent this problem in the future (root destroyer and pipe shield)and he said he would tell the office to schedule us for a ""scope"" of our pipe, due to the amount of roots he pulled out. We have not heard from the office about scheduling the scope visit which is a bit disappointting but a good experience overal.
Someone was at my house in 40 minutes and did a very thorough job. He was courteous and helpful and also helped me figure out another problem that was going on.

We had just returned from vacation and were preparing to entertain our large extended family on the weekend. We had looked forward to having the adults and the children with us for we had been away for a few months. All of a sudden the drain in the kitchen sink wouldn?t drain. We tried some Drano but to no avail. The water wouldn?t go down..

Tech was prompt and thorough, completing his work in about an hour. I will use him again if necessary. Only derogatory comment is cost ($369) for 1 hour service. My surgeon's bill for the same amount of time was less than $200.
Mike came to our house to fix a backed up drain pipe. He was extremely professional and knew exactly what our problem was in no time. He showed me what he was looking at with the camera and explained it to me so I would understand. Mike also offered to come back when my husband was home to show him too. When things go wrong in your home it is never easy. I knew I was in trouble when my kitchen sink was clogged. Lets just say I was a bit stressed. Roto-Rooter took the stress out of a stressfull situation. They were pleasant and professional from the franitic phone call I placed early in the morning to the time they left my home. The plumber, Robert, was upfront about prices and gave me a full description of the job as he was going along. Thank you Robert and Roto-Rooter for making things go smoothly so I could continue on with my day.
We had just moved into our new home on 12-30-2010 and on New Years Eve we had a 100% block from our main line that runs to the street. This was due to a trees roots that grew in the pipe. When I called Roto-Rooter on New Years Day they dispatched a plumber and he was here within 30 minutes. I live about 20 minutes North of Boston and was happy to hear that the plumber also lived in the same city. He was very polite and did great work. I recommend Rotor-Rooter to anyone that lives in the Boston area. There service was excellent.
My husband John Theo from Peabody contacted Roto-Rooter. Our plumber from the Boston area was excellent. He was extremely knowledgeable and knew exactly what needed to be done. The only thing that was shocking to me were that there were set prices for sinks, tubs, etc. and not an hourly rate. I believe the service was excellent, but I also believe the price was way too high for what was done and the time it took. I was impressed by the response time to the call and the time it took to complete. You have very professional plumbers.
