I stayed one night at the motel. I found the room to be clean and nice, but the noise is unbelievable. You can hear through the paper thin walls. All night long I could hear others conversations as well as other things that were going on in the rooms. I guess if you stay here be prepared to be up all night listening to the sounds of the night. Disappointing as Buckley needs a nice motel, Where is EconoLodges Quality control people?
It may be a good location and easy to find with a nice looking lobby? but do not be deceived! Please research multiple reviews on multiple web sites before you stay! We just spent Memorial Day weekend at this motel with several other families as we were in the area for a 10U Little League Tournament. I reserved a small block of rooms and others from our team made reservations in addition to the folks that I booked for. On the day of arrival, I phoned because we had booked ONE too many rooms. The man on the phone told me that they have a 48 hours cancellation policy BUT since we had so many rooms, he would go ahead and cancel one, but only one, and we would not be charged. I was very appreciative that he was so helpful. When I checked in, he gave me a slip showing my family??s charge to be $301 for the weekend, which is what I expected. HOWEVER, when I checked out three days later my bill was $407? an extra $106 charge was added under Misc, which I questioned. Now a woman was helping me, the male was not on shift, and she pretty much accused me of lying about my conversation with the man telling me it was a cancellation fee. She was rude and condescending. Our team provided their establishment with a lot of business over the week-end and are very likely going back to the area in July which WOULD HAVE GIVEN them more business?it is just extremely disappointing that they did not honor what I was told on the phone. That is not all: BUYERS BEWARE?. When you check in the motel, they take a photocopy of your credit card and driver??s license (which hold your birth date, DL #, signature, right?) They told us at the counter that they would give the copies back if we paid cash when we left. This is information that I feel should be disclosed when you make the reservation so you are prepared to bring enough cash and since I did not have the cash, they kept this personal information which bothered me. BUT IT GETS WORSE?one of the families with our party did pay cash and the front desk LOST THE COPY OF THEIR ID AND CREDIT CARD AND THEREFORE IT WAS NOT RETURNED WITH THE CASH PAYMENT. If you do decide to stay here BRING YOUR OWN TOWELS AND PILLOWS, towels were paper-thin and felt like sandpaper and pillows were hard. THE POOL WAS NOT HEATED?.FREEZING COLD POOL. BED SPREAD WAS DIRTY! STAFF WAS DOWNRIGHT RUDE IN SOME INSTANCES. I have never left a negative review anywhere before but I feel the need to WARN TRAVELERS?..BETTER OFF STAYING IN PUYALLUP?. EASY 20 MINUTES AWAY!!
