So it was sort of damp and dank to begin with. After I moved in, I discovered that I not only had mold taking growing under the walls in my bathroom (it started to seep out between the tiles), but I also had a spider infestation. And my management refused to do ANYTHING about any of the problems." They came about 2 weeks later sprayed some bleach on the mold. In those two weeks I had been rushed to the hospital b/c of the mold.
It took about 14 weeks of calling and complaining to have management and maintenance come and fix the mold.
Overall KORMAN is CHEAP and they DON'T CARE ABOUT THEIR TENANTS.

Hi there,

There is currently a problem with ****BEDBUG INFESTATION**** at The Woods.

Korman is trying to conserve costs and keep the problem a secret, instead of taking it seriously and getting rid of it.

My building has been infested for 5 or 6 months now, according to one of my infested neighbors.

Korman's response at that time was to have an exterminator spray in his apartment. They did NOT heat-treat, they did NOT inspect the adjacent units, and they did NOT notify the other tenants. Any good exterminator will tell you it's necessary to heat-treat if you're serious, and find out the extent of the problem before treating.

My apartment was ALREADY infested, and the upstairs tenant had ALREADY been forced to vacate, and my next-door neighbors had just mysteriously moved out, when Korman finally decided to notify me of the problem. They denied me the opportunity to prepare, to start vacuuming, etc., and as a result of their negligence, the problem is worse than it needs to be.

They have provided no instruction whatsoever, so I am researching and taking care of it on my own until they get around to treating. They do not even vacuum the carpeted entrance to prevent the problem from spreading.

They will finally be heat treating one of the adjacent units tomorrow, which is probably just going to relocate all the bugs into my apartment. Korman has not yet scheduled treatment for my apartment.

I have to sterilize and remove everything from the apartment. The property manager refuses to discuss whether there's a chance I might be compensated for any of my expense or inconvenience. I am missing work, etc., etc.

This is one of several disappointing things about The Woods.

Korman has had a years-long problem of poor lighting in the complex. They are finally starting to address this after there was a child abduction here recently. You may have read about it in the paper. (It does feel pretty safe here, to be fair.)

The buildings are old, and extremely drafty. The windows are metal, and they suck heat out of the building. The windows and glass door look old and are cloudy.

Everywhere there's running water, there are calcium, rust, or lime stains. I'm constantly cleaning the sinks and shower. I run through Brita filters pretty quickly.

When I moved in, there were multiple obvious problems Korman had not addressed. There were gaping holes in the wall, from previous phone/internet hookups, that they had neglected to cover with a switch plate. One of the holes in the wall had a paper towel shoved in it (?). The towel rack fell off the wall when I touched it. There were mold stains all around the toilet.

Korman claims to be dog-friendly, but they make you pay a lot of money just to own a dog. To move in, you have to pay a non-refundable $300 fee, presumably because they assume the dog is going to do that amount of damage to the apartment. My dog did no damage, and I wasted $300.

They also make you pay to have a dog monthly. My rent is $35 higher because I have a dog. That's not very friendly in my mind. They are charging $420 per year for the privilege of having something they claim to welcome. They don't like or want your dog. Period.

Don't make the same mistake I did, of assuming that you get your money's worth at Korman. You just won't. And again, the bedbugs. Don't take a chance.

Wonderful location. It is so easy to get to the Turnpike. It was perfect for me when going to school in Ambler.

Because of how nice the new management is. The old management promised me new carpet because mine was in bad shape. And I was so happy because I have two little girls and was worried it would get moldy. But after trying my hardest to get them to install it, I gave up because they never would. But a friend of mine told me to ask the new management because they are nice and very professional...\n\nWell, I got my new carpet! And I cried the other day when my youngest said, ""Mommy, no more bad stuff on the floor"". Thanks Korman Residential!!\n

We have been living at The Woods for two years now, and have been fairly happy with the complex overall. However, since we have been under new management with Kormen the service has suffered! The improvements that they have made have been cosmetic and were done haphazardly. The common areas were just painted however there are paint drips everywhere and our door was not fully painted. There is also still salt all over the floor from the last time it snowed 3 months ago. They moved the bulletin board outside to paint and it sat outside by the steps for a month so they basically do not clean the grounds very frequently and the common areas don t seem to be cleaned at all. They did an absolutely horrible job of clearing the snow this winter. The sidewalks and steps were not cleared until three days after it snowed (see photos). We actually had to clean off the steps to our building ourselves so we wouldn t trip and fall. Our toilet has not been working properly for the past 6 months and we have had maintenance in three times to fix it but they have yet to do so. The new management is almost never in the office and they don t seem to care if they loose their tenants. The hours are not friendly for those that 9-5 jobs and they close early. They are also increasing our rent substantially to make up from the improvements they have done. Management is not willing to work with you to come to an agreement. The pet policy is also a little outrageous: $35 a month and a non-refundable deposit of $300. What kind of damage can my cat do for $300? Overall, the apartments are nice but the service is horrible.\r\n\r\n
