Typically, when you research someone or something on the internet, you either get great reviews or terrible reviews. Only people who are thrilled or have an ax to grind take the time to research and review something. I feel i'm in the middle with Jordana. I'm only reviewing because I saw that Jordana is now an expert on a reality TV show and the name reminded me of my time with her. I realize not all therapists mesh well with all clients. This is what happened with Jordana and I. I was in an advanced stage of recovery, and she wasn't really able to push me the way that I needed to be pushed. Her methods were a little to focused on harm reduction for me. I was beyond that and needed more insight. I wasn't satisfied with "well at least you aren't _____ing". I thought she was nice, attentive, and sweet. However, she really didn't have the "umph" that I needed. I'd say try her out, but don't feel obligated to stay if you aren't getting what you need.

Dr. J is amazing. I felt I had a connection with her the first time I met her. She took her time with me and really asked me what it was that I wanted to change about my life and not trying to sell herself. \r

I have bipolar disorder and Dr. Mansbacher knows excatly what I need when I need it, sometimes before I do. With this disorder, I am unable to gage if I am hypomanic or manic, but she is able to help me distinguish between the 2. \r

F'n awesome therapist! Dr. J is easy to talk to, she is very honest in a kind and supportive manner. She listens to you like no one else.
I have been to many therapists over my life and Dr. J has been the best. She is so easy to relate to that I wish I could take her with me out in the world so she can guide me wherever I go.

I am completely impressed with her skill as a supportive and caring professional. She's sweet, she's real, she wants you to succeed. Dr. J is the best! I have been going to her for 7 years now and I consider it a weekly indulgence to have someone so wonderful listen to me and really listen to me. To help me with whatever is bothering me that week and offer ways to look at the situation differently.
She is creative, and can be direct when I need her to be. I love coming every week for my sessions.

But a friend referred me to Dr J after my father passed away this October. As supportive as friends and family were, I just needed someone impartial to talk to about it who would just LISTEN.
She was immensely helpful guiding me through the grief process. Seeing her was comforting and energizing and healing. I found that I wanted to open up about other parts of my life (work, moving, etc) - just thoughts and doubts I had, and she's guided me beautifully through those as well.
I would recommend her to anyone - and have actually told all my friends to see her whether they're dealing w\ a family issue, or a personal disorder, or even just a lot of stress and confusion.
She?s the sweetest and I am sad I?m moving to NY and can no longer see her in person! Though a few phone and email sessions may be in order : )

She makes me feel like my problems and getting better are a priority and she always reviews progress with me.
I have a chronic disorder that needs to be monitored weekly and sometimes twice a week and I never feel like Dr. Mansbacher gets tired of treating me, seeing me or helping me get better when I know this disorder is difficult to get full recovery from.

Dr. J is the best. She has helped me thorugh difficult relationship stuff and an eating disorder. She helps me figure out what problems I need to work on right now and the ones that can wait so that I can function the best I can. She is awesome and I would recommend her to anyone for any issue.
