I have been going to Kathy Hindle and Janet Lewis at Midwifery Traditions for almost 3 years. I have gone for regular well-woman care, prenatal visits and fertility consultations. Both Janet and Kathy are warm, caring, supportive and very knowledgeable. They have a lot of experience, especially Kathy. I actually saw Kathy for a few years when she was with another practice. They really take a lot of time to listen to you and address your concerns. I have had Janet call me back at 8pm on a Friday when I had a very stupid question and she was very kind and helped me solve my issue.

Janet and Kathy care a lot about their patients and the babies they deliver. If there is something they cannot do, they are willing to help you find someone. They have a lot of information for other support, such as where to find doulas, herbalists, acupuncturists etc. They work with you and respect your opinion and your power to make your own choices.

I have not given birth with them, yet, but I was a doula to my friend who had a homebirth with Kathy. Kathy was AMAZING. Her knowledge and calm attitude were invaluable.

I definitely recommend them to women who want a safe, gentle birth with care providers who are supportive and knowledgeable or for women who just want basic gynecological care with providers who take the time to listen to you and give you a thorough exam.

I saw the midwives here for my 3rd and 4th children. The 3rd I delivered in a hospital setting. The fourth was a home birth. I was very pleased with the care I received in both cases. The midwives were attentive. They spend a lot of time with me. I wanted natural childbirth and they were supportive and helpful in my attaining that. I never felt I had to do things "their way" or that there was even a "their way." I felt important and enjoyed the whole experience.
