The Butterfly Pavillion is a unique and interesting place to go. It feels like you stepped into the Rain Forest and are surrounded by millions of Butterflies. One thing that is difficult if you take small children: you aren't suppose to touch the butterflies unless they land on you. Try telling that to a kid.

The centerpiece of the Butterfly Pavillion is, of course, their 7,500 square foot conservatory. A rainbow of butterflies, dozens of species, and more wings that you can count, will flit about as you walk amongst a myriad of live tropical plants. In seperate rooms is a great variety of other insects and not-so-creeply crawlies to admire and learn about. You can even handle Rosie the tarantula; it tickles. Outside there are trails along the creeks there with signage about the local ecology, especially butterflies. Before you leave, be sure to stop by the gift shop. You will find an amazing variety of things related to insects, for people of all ages and interest levels
