Of the teas that I've tried--Chocolate Mint Rooibos, Jade Osmanthus Oolong, Organic Gold Rush Black Tea, and Organic Vanilla Blend White Tea--I've thoroughly enjoyed all of them (some more than others but that's mainly due to preference). Personally, I'm a black tea kinda gal so the Organic Gold Rush was extremely appealing to me but what was more surprising was the Vanilla Blend White Tea. It really hit the spot for me (especially for the crummy day I was having)! The aroma of it was seriously enlightening.

The Chocolate Mint Rooibos was very earthy. I'm not a super expert on tea preparation so it might take one or two tries to get the temperature and dose right to really taste the tea. Though I would suggest that others who haven't yet tried these kind of teas to try it with some milk (soy milk even!). As was the case with my sister who didn't like it much at first but gave it another go with milk and honey and asked for a second serving.

What I think is particular about the Double Koi Tea Company is that they're trying to bring to the foreground of tea culture the chemistry-side of tea drinking. Most of how teas are marketed today, they come in tea bags which is convenient for the end-user but it doesn't necessarily mean that it's true to the taste or catering to the individual's taste/preferences. Their website is very mindful in providing instructions and hints as to how to prepare different teas to really bring out the best flavors. I'd say if you're looking for a new hobby, tea tasting is something you ought to try and more specifically by way of Double Koi Teas.

If you're looking for a safe bet, I'd say the Vanilla Blend is something you can't go wrong with! Their website is also really neat looking and definitely worth a visit and try their stuff in local shops around you!!
