The physician and staff were very professional and my appointment were handle and processed on a timely basis like a swiss clock. I was counseled thoroughly and correctly based on my health status and itinerary, unlike other travel clinics that I went to and just read a piece of paper. All the shots I need were completed with one visit and I did not have to return because of no stock. I agree that the price is slightly higher than the public health clinic but as a business traveler, time is money. I want to make sure I get the best medical advise, able to get all my shots in one visit and feel confident that I am ready for my trip. Healthy Traveler Clinic did all that and more! Besides, why would I want to go to a large medical group and be another number in line or another doctor's office who is not an expert in travel medicine? For $ 39 office visit, it is truly the best bargain in town. Other travelers based their decisions on price and price alone, for me personally I am more confident I am getting the best medical advice!

I did not have a good experience w/ the front office at the Healthy Traveler Clinic. I found one of the guys who works up front condescending and I will never go back.
I would recommend the Arroyo Seco Medical Group in Arcadia for travel vaccinations. The office is very organized and friendly, and Dr. Chen is excellent. He is personable and knowledgable, and takes time to answer your questions. You can also schedule appts. for non travel medical needs, as they are also a primary care office and these visits may take your insurance.
It is also cash pay for travel vaccinations , but they seem better equipped to deal with the yellow fever vaccine shortage. Other places only offer the 5 dose vial, (you have to be placed on a list w/ 4 other people and you all have to get vaccinated at once), but the Arroyo Seco Group offers the single dose vial for $99 which is even less expensive than the Public Health Dept. The visit itself is $35.
