.

We made reservations specifically for a large, two double bed NON SMOKING suite. When we arrived, we overheard the desk clerks tell another couple that they couldn't have a smoking room on the first floor, because all the smoking rooms were on the 3rd floor. When they handed us a key for a 3rd room floor, we asked why, since we had clearly booked a non-smoking room.

We were informed by the desk clerk that when we paid for a non-smoking room, it was more of a suggestion. They had simply switched our reservation to a smoking room. Well, we hadn't paid for a smoking room, but they then said they didn't HAVE a non-smoking double bed suite available, even though we had RESERVED ONE. Instead, they looked at how they might bump another couple with kids into a smoking room, but then decided against it.

They offered to give us a single bed room with a pull out sofa bed instead, at a slightly lower rate, non smoking. We took the offer, but still feel burned. The couch is more comfortable than the pull out bed. A cockroach crawls along the rug and dies, apparently poisoned. The fake leather on the recliner chair is peeling away, as is the vinyl lining the cabinet doors, and everything is stained. The rooms just smell weird too, as if a crime scene had been recently cleaned up. And the Wi-Fi signal in our room is really, really weak. There is no shuttle service to any of the theme parks available, and public transportation appears to be too far to walk to comfortably. To top it off, a hotel staffer is standing in the hall, deliberately slamming a door at 11:30pm -- trying to fix something he thinks is wrong. WTF???

This is the third time we've stayed at an Extended Stay brand hotel, and they have struck out.

We advise you NOT to do business with this company, at any of its locations. They played games with our reservations and may do so with yours too. This hotel chain is a wildcard. Avoid all of the Extended Stay properties if you want to be assured of a good vacation.
