First time customer, I was introduced to Original Beads by a third party where I purchased two classes. However my first time experience with the Original Beads was a HUGE mistake and left me extremely disappointment and awful. I was on the list for a beading class for Original Beads here in San Antonio. Unfortunately I got sick the night before and was hoping I would have felt better by the morning. Because I was still sick I had called and left a message on their voicemail at their store at 9:17am, which they didn't open until 10am. In my message I stated I had to cancel due to me being sick. Later that I day I received a call and received a message stating to call back. As soon as I heard that message I returned the call and spoke with the person offering the class (I think the person who answered the phone said she was the owner-I HOPE I'M WRONG). She said because I didn't give an earlier notice I had forfeited the class that I had purchased, which I had explained that I was sick and called earlier that day. I was upset and told her I would go; however physically I couldn't even drive. I called back minutes later stating that I just couldn't bare standing up and couldn't drive. I told her that I was looking forward to going and since this was my first time to go to their store I was hoping she would understand. In conclusion she said 'oh well' and that I had forfeited my purchase and if I would have called a few hours ago she could have called someone, which I didn't understand when I left a message first thing in the morning when it was still closed. I was frustrated and extremely disappointed especially when the lady on the phone had no understanding that I was too sick to get up especially when I had undergone radiation treatment. I told her that wasn't right and I couldn't understand how she would do that. In the end, I felt so horrible from this experience and really felt that no matter how you are feeling this business wouldn't understand because to them they are only after your money and don't care about their customers. It's sad to even come across a business who didn't care whether if you were sick and it would have meant to get other people in the class infected because one person was sick or if that paying customer would have risked their own lives to drive when they shouldn't have been driving due to being sick.
Sorry folks, I wouldn't recommend them because that is not how customers should be treated. Being treated awful by a business when you never even had the chance to try it out only because health conditions--is just not right.

This bead store is awesome. beautiful beads and great sales staff. They even let you work on a piece using their tools at no chargewill definatley come back next time we are in town. Thanks guys for a great afternoon of fun learning to make jewelry.

Lady you must be nuts. I have been a customer of this bead store since its opening. The sales staff is great and the owner is great. They always go the extra mile to help me, and their classes are wonderful......They have a huge selection of beads and findings.....Go back to Omaha!

On Tuesday, June 8 I purchased three items from this store. When I arrived home I was missing a bracelet I purchased. I called to inquire if the bracelet was on the counter. At first, I was told 'a bracelet wasn't sold'. I disagreed and was then asked for the receipt number. I was told that the bracelet was wrapped and given to me. Being out of state, I am disapointed in the behavior of the owner. I would not re-visit.
