Horrible location, but good, solid burgers. People rave about the steaks, but I've never gone down that road. Let's be honest... it's a bar... next to the freeway... and it does just fine for what it is.

I agree with the others, they don't seem to do much for outsiders. The few times I have been there, the service was horrible. Twice, myself and my family became ill after eating there. Not some place I would recommend to anyone.

Like the review below says, they only seem to really tend to their "regulars". They have decent steak, but the rest of the food isn't that great. It's also kinda dark and dirty inside. The only times I have been here are when someone in my family insists I join them for dinner. My uncle, however, is one of those "regulars" and raves about this place!

This place is a bit dive-y. It looks like a shack from the outside and not too much better on the inside. Their food makes up for the decor. It is pretty decent but nothing to rave about. The service is not so great. We have been there a couple times and once with our neighbors. I get a weird vibe there like if you are not a regular they do not try too hard. Worth a shot though!

PROS: Good Food & Prices
CONS: Small and Old Decor - Service Not Super

In L.A. you might find some fancy variations of burgers that aren't bad, I'll admit, but some days a girl just wants a big wad of ground beef stuck between two halves of a bun, and a slab of cheese on top. No bleu cheese. No wheat bread, avocado, or sprouts. A regular cheeseburger, with not much else on it so one can appreciate what one's getting.

The burgers at Ramps are straightforward, and I mean that nicely. The meat is always cooked just the way I ask for which is medium: pink in the center, just barely cooked through at the ends, and slightly charred on the outside. The meat is juicy and holds together, but is loose enough so that you know it hasn't been frozen in patty-form before being slapped on the grill. It costs five something, including fries, and I highly recommend the thin onion rings.

Pros: Great Burgers, Good Food, Inexpensive

Cons: Awful Chinese Salad, Night Parking

Like all their food, the 6oz petite filet mignon is what I go for. A fresh tossed salad or generous soup to start, steak, choice of potato, veg, and a bottle of wine. Great food & price at around $50 for 2 people. 2 small dining rooms but you can also eat in the generous size bar.
