THIS IS FOR THEIR SHOP ON PALO VERDE, TUCSON. Took a car we had for a while to give it a fresh look so our daughter could have a car to drive. They provided us an estimate to repair some dents here and there and a quote for a mid/upper end quality job, not the cheap basic paint job. Estimate was around $800. Dropped the car off , few days later they called and said it was ready to be picked up. \n\nWhen we arrived to look at the car, It looked like some 5 grader had taped the car up, paint was all over the areas that should not have had paint on them, black trims, chrome...etc. There solution to this was a BLACK MARKER PEN! \nAlso, no Dents were repaired, but rather painted over and when the owner was asked to come out of hiding to explain why the dents were not repaired he answered we did repair some but we must have missed a few! What a load of BS!\nPaint quality is Waaaay below average, car does not shine despite the waxing job it was given 45 days later with their instructions not to do anything with the paint within 30 days.\n\nCar looks really bad, and has taken the pleasure out of owning it due to low quality work.\n\nI will admit, more than one person and our mechanic reccomended we do not have Maaco do the work, we did not listen thinking that a big company name would for sure provide quality work! WRONG! \n\nI REPEAT DO NOT GO THERE!\nI AM ONLY GIVING IT A ONE STAR BECAUSE THIS SITE DOES NOT ALLOW YOU TO POST WITHOUT A RATING! IN MY OPINION THEY ARE IN THE MINUS!

I had the misfortune of have ing TWO vehicles rear-ended within a few days of each other. Macco was very close to my office, so it seemed like a good choice. In fact, it was a huge mistake.\r\n\r\nVehicle one: Toyota pickup -- It was painted the wrong color, they never looked at the paint code. They then repainted it the right color, however, they painted right over the first coat of paint, leaving the inside ot the doors and trim the WRONG color. Parts were missing, the masking was AWFUL, the paint was sloppy, and I was outraged.\r\n\r\nI told the insurance company that I wanted to take it somewhere else to fix what they messed up. Macco REFUSED to release the vehicle until they were paid. It took weeks and was not resolved. I finaly had to pay to get the car. When I took it to another shop, they told me tha car had so much paint on it already that it would have to be stripped to be repainted.\r\n\r\nVehicle two: Chevy crewcab -- It was the right color, but again, parts were missing, the masking was awful, over spray on EVERYTHING. I think they had the windows down while painting. The doors didn't open correctly, and paint qualtiy was rough.\r\n\r\nAt this time, I wsa still dealing with the disaster on the Toyota, and I just wanted teh truck OUT of their hands ASAP.\r\n\r\nThey were RUDE, dishonest, and a pain to work with. \r\n\r\nDO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE.

I feel compelled to relate my Maaco paint experience to anyone who may be considering using them for their paint and body work needs. In three simple words: Don't do it! Aside from the fact what they promised would be a 3 day turn around ended up being over 25 days and still counting, Maaco on Grant in Tucson is hands down nothing short of disgraceful. Each time I went in to check on the status of my vehicle, one of the sludge head desk guys would rudely tell me ""just one more day."" Not only have they destroyed the interior body clips, misplaced many parts (that to this day they've yet to reorder), done a worse paint job than the previous one I was fixing, in light of all this, they have no remorse as they've already been paid. Don't use them folks. Use a more expensive body shop that at least takes accountability for their actions.
