Had a great experience learning to be a bartender. The owner is very accomadating and super friendly. They go out of their way to teach all the in's and out's of bartending. Would reccomend this school to all my friends and college pals.

I normally do not read into reviews but we just found out that the review by critiqueyou325 was written by our competition and all I can say is shame on them!

My name is Diane and I am the Director and Instructor at BarStar. I take great pride in my school and spend everyday there with the students making sure they feel 100% comfortable and competent when they walk out that door.

Compare our school to other schools out there. They are all good but each one has a different style of teaching. Our school speaks for itself. I am an instructor who has been bartending for 21 years (11 years in Philly, in the nightclubs, and 10 years in Los Angeles) while I attended graduate school. Our other instructor has been bartending over 15 yrs. and is a bar manager and bartender at a Center City restaurant/lounge.

I have a Masters Degree in Psychology and I'm big on how people learn. If you learn in a club environment, you pick up bartending much easier than just sitting behind a make-shift bar in a quiet room. So for the other school who said our instructors just graduated, you are wrong.

We also pride ourselves in giving one-on-one attention to our students by keeping our classes very small, from 1 to 6 people. This way you are behind the bar the whole time. Hands-on is the only way to learn!

So, I'm sorry for the deceitfulness of the above review. All I can say is check out our school for yourself to make an informed decision of your own.

Cheers!! :)
