Hands down, they make the best Gyros and kabobs in town! We got there at least twice a month if not more.

Marginal service. Bland, mediocre food. No fries with that Gyro sandwich. Why? $4.25 for a small side order. You won't find out till you get the bill. We won't be back. Ari's and Spiros is way better and it's not fun paying $4.25 for a small order of crappy fries. The best and only good thing about the restaurant, is their location.

I've never been a huge fan of gyros, but after trying theirs, hands down, the best. I've also tried their burgers & desserts & those are also good as well. They have a nice bar atmosphere in the smoking area, they make their drinks strong so you get what you pay for!\n\nOn the other hand, the service sucks for the most part. Kind of always seems the waiters have a bit of an attitude. You have to wait quite awhile for them to get back to you for your drinks or bill.\n\nI usually don't come back to places that i'm not impressed with the service, but the food is so good that i don't even care. I definitely will be coming back again & again.

The best gyro in STL hands down. Very friendly but a little slow to refill up drinks.

Shelia is the worst waitress ever! Can't pack a carry out order correctly. No refunds if order is incomplete when you get it home.

We will have to say that this was a great place to get a gyro..We couldn't go in and eat we just called it in and picked it up. We just moved to the area and had been craving a good gyro. We have a great place back at home called El Greco in Carbondale IL,and this was pretty close to it!!! We are very picky about our gyros and were very pleased to have found one a good place in St. Louis! Thanks!!!

Fries didn't come with the sandwich. No problem. Didn't see them on the menu. When the bill arrived, I noticed one order of fries (not large by any means) cost $4.25! That is outrageous. I also ordered baklava. I think the piece I got had maybe a total of 2 bites to it. It was a splinter of a serving for $4.25. There's too many good Greek restaurants in town to make the mistake of going back here.

Pros: Food and service were pretty good

Cons: Ordered Gyros, which did not come with fries. (read on)

i thought the food was very good traditional greek food. i had a gyro and it was very yummy! also i went on a friday night around 10, and the section in front of the bar was actually almost a party atomosphere. there were a lot of people in their 20's drinking and hanging out, which kind of took me by surprise. when we moved into the non-smoking area however, the noise level dropped considerably. definitely an unexpected hang out! my only complaint was that the waiter was a little absent, other than that it was a great place!

it's my kids favorite place to eat. It's casual, has really good food, it's super quick and easy, but I would suggest going on an off night because it can get pretty packed"" Time\r\nit's my kids favorite place to eat. Great food, good prices. Good atmosphere, wooden floor, benches, and walls add to the warmth and comfort.\r\n\r\nIt is a nice change of pace from the franchised restaurants.\r\n\r\nA great value!

The wait staff is not most friendly but if you know this coming in, the food is great! 2nd best gyros in town. Gyro House in U-City are #1. Enjoy!

If you are looking for a good Greek salad or gyro in St. Louis, you wil find it here. If you are looking for someplace to get great food and great service, good luck. We eat here at least once a month and it is definitely a coin toss on the service. However, the food is always good. I've had better Greek food in Chicago, New York or Tampa, but this is consistently good Greek food for St. Louis. If you are looking for a relaxing place to eat dinner with the family or friends, this is it. If you are looking for a fancy night out, look elsewhere. \r\nAs far as cleanliness, it wins! There have been other Greek Mom & Pop restaurants around the area that you just aren't sure, but this one meets the standards.

My mom got take out there for us recently. She said a lot of people were doing the same, but the lady taking the order wasn't very helpful when asked about the menu items, she was just trying to hurry her along. The pastitsio was very bland and one of the worst I've had. The spanakopita was okay tasting, but it's presentation was lacking. It looked like a huge brick of spinach pie and was on the soggy side. The taste was just okay. Finally, the galatobourako was just okay as well. My dad is from Greece, so needless to say, I've had my share of Greek food. You'd be much better off going to Apollonia. I think it's on Gravois. On the flipside, our take out experience there was much better. Every dish we had was great.\r\n

I have been to this restraunt three times. My first experience was wonderful. Our waiter was efficient and very helpful as it was our first time there and we had never tried greek food. We got an array of things to try and had a great time. Drinks were good as well. My second experience was not so great. It was a date and they seemed short handed with their wait staff. The waitress we had was short with us and hardly waited on us. The food was still good. We were not asked if we wanted desert. Felt as if she was rushing us to get our table since they were busy. My third experience there got even worse. Once again they seemed short handed on their wait staff. It was a weekand night so of course the place was packed. It took a while to get a waiter. It seemed like forever before we got our food. The steak I ordered medium I got as almost well done. My margarita tasted like it was made with bad sweet and sour mix or something. Overall this place is just ok now to me. The food I would have to say is very good and I have never had to wait to be seated but service is lacking and yes there is a bit of a parking problem.

Asolute best gyro in town! Wait staff can be short and sub-par, but has never stopped me from going. Not very expensive either.

We had the sample platter, everything was bland and tasteless! The rice was cold and the musaka was the worst I have ever had. If you go there avoid the sample platter.

This is one of my top restaurants in StL. The gyros ARE the best in town and you can't find better flaming cheese. The waiters are always delightful and prompt whether you come at lunch or dinner. The after dinner crowd is entertaining. This is a place where they treat you like a regular even if it's your first time.\r\nThey have plenty of seating inside or on the patio.

Enjoy the food, building is something nice to look at. Excellent Flaming cheese... Can be loud. Have been there at times w/belly dancers. Makes for a very fun and interesting dinner. I think you should definitely give it a try. Became a favorite for my boyfriend and I. Enjoy

Pros: Great Food, excellent parking (across the street - two parking lots)

Cons: Can be loud, might have to wait for a table

We visited a couple months back..the service was poor and the vegetables were basically mushy. The meat on the gyro was too crisp and lacked flavor. The portions were also very small. For the prices, its not worth it.

Yes, Olympia has good food, but it's not worth the trip for the really poor service. Wait staff tend not to be very friendly and once you have been served, don't expect them to come back to the table until it's time for the check. When the place is crowded, it can be very noisy, which doesn't make for a very enjoyable eating experience. Check out Kabob International on Grand instead.

Great food and very good value. Seating can be a bit tricky on the weekends but worth the wait. Wonderful gyros and extra helpful staff if you want to try something new. The only downside is lack of parking. Olympia does have a lot but it's located across a very busy street, like playing Frogger negotiating traffic to get to the front door.
