My car broke down near this location. The owner (Jack) and his team pushed my car into the lot and my car was back the next day. It's a family-run business so the staff is very friendly and it offers great prices. And most importantly,

I visited this Aamco a year ago and it was a mess. I heard it has recently been renovated and under a new owner so I decided to try it again when my transmission went out. It was 100% better! The waiting area was inviting and the employees were very helpful. They finished my car in a short amount of time and it wasn't nearly as expensive as other transmission shops in the area! I will absolutely continue to come here!!! Thanks!!!

Came here with serious transmission issues. They were so helpful and got my car done fast! It wasn't nearly as expensive as other shops in the area. I will definitely continue to get my car serviced here! Thanks!!!

My engine light came on 4/14, the next day I immediately brought the car in to be inspected. Why Aamco? Because the are "transmission specialists".

My car was in the shop (at the listed location) for 1wk or so before the manager (Bob) could tell me what exactly was the problem. During that entire week, he never called me once. I had to keep calling in order to find out the issues. Eventually, I thought he was blowing me off because I was a woman, so I had my brother call. And of course, he tells him that the work looks like a $85 job.

Hearing this news, I was estatic mainly because I didn't want to pay a lot of money over foolishness. How wrong was I.

Bob calls me a few days later and tells me the problem looks like it is inside my transmission or as he says "internal trans problem", but to be sure he had to remove the trans which would cost $425. (price included remove/rebuild of trans). I agreed.

As time progresses he tells me that I would need an entire new trans because my trans was beyond repair. He told me it would cost $2375. I was beyond emotions. Where the hell did a $85 job get to be a $2375 job.

Bob showed no compassion and despite me saying I cannot afford this (college student/pt time work) he kept insisting he can take "credit cards". Once again, I declined telling him no. He then lowered the price to $1800, adding that the trans CAN be rebuilt. However, he didnot tell me that was the price for a rebuilt trans until I released some anger. He kept saying "oh, the trans will run like new". Bob, did add that he can do the entire job for $1800. I was under the impression taxes was included.

I knew the trans would cost money, but his approach was very sneaky.

Wrong. My car sat in the shop for a month until I was able to save up that much money. I called him 5/10 (monday) to tell him I had the $1800 and that friday 5/14 I was picking my car up. He says "ok, it will be ready for you. Bring the rest of payment."

I called him that friday morning to make sure he remembered I was coming. He adds "Do you know what your balance is because I do not have your files in front of me?" I said, "ye, $660". He says "It's $760, because of tax".

At this point I am furious. Why the hell didn't he tell me this monday. When I asked that question, his response was, "Oh, I thought you already knew".

What a complete money hungry rip off!!! He said if I couldn't pay the tax, he would hold my car until I could. He also added, "You have to pay uncle sam. I'm just collecting!"

I was pissed. Anyways, I summed all the money together and picked my car up. With an attiude, of course. I made sure I was handed all paperwork.

Bob, knew the exact estimate however he neglected to tell me and in fact kept adding prices from nowhere. He also tried to get me to buy a new trans when he was capable of rebuilding mines.

This is the first/last time I will ever go this is Aamco for care service. Bob is a horrible manager and he will do nothing but try to get as much money from his customers as possible.

In the end, parts were roughly $650. Labor, however, was $1200. Talk about a huge pay!! Bob, stressed how parts would cost a lot of money. He said the were expensive. If you ask me, the labor was high. Considering the they took a total of 15 hours to rebuild the trans. 15 HOURS!!! Unnessary time.
