I have to admit that I was lucky to find this practice through my friend. Wonderful care. Good staff. Very calm atmosphere. Not only that I felt very relaxed and comfortable, Dr. Ahmed with his very delightful personality really made me forget my dental phobia. He not only introduced the diagnosis very calmly but also took great time in explaining possible treatments. Their high tech cameras and photographs made it very easy for me to understand my situation. I really commend Dr. Ahmed and all his staff for dealing with a patient like me with such a successful manner. I am happy and fortunate to have found Dr. Ahmed.

I was in bad need of a dentist and was reccommeded to Dr. Bilal Ahmed. When I went to his office I was greeted with a professional and friendly staff. Dr. Ahmed listened to my concerns patiently and gave me excellent advice on my dental issues. In the past I have been weary of going to the dentist because of being rushed and the pain I anticipate. But now I am sure to follow up on my regular dentist visits and will also go to Dr. Ahmed for any other dental issues. I would rate this dentist 10 out of 10 for friendliness and service.

I had experienced sensitivity in my upper left pre-molars for some weeks. It felt like sinus pressure but since it persisted for longer than normally I went to see Dr. Ahmed on March 24th 2010 for a consultation. I requested only x-rays of the area in question, but the assistant started taking a full set of xrays. After some discussion I convinced her that this was not necessary since I knew where the pain was located and I had had a full set less than a year ago at my usual dentist back in Germany. Then Dr. Ahmed evaluated the xray and "showed" me on the display that I had 3 cavities. Two new ones and one under a previous filling. I explained to him that I would be going to Germany within 4 weeks and asked if the treatment could wait until then. He said it could not and explained to me that the teeth (his words) "where not in good shape." He acknowledged that I had ongoing sinus problems and gave me 10 days of amoxicillin to clear it up before beginning dental treatment. I left the office shocked thinking about the costs coming up whereas treatment would have been free in Germany. I started taking the antibiotics but felt compelled to get a second opinion. I asked for the digital xrays to be forwarded to me. I requested this on 3 occasions, but as of today 4 month later have not received them. I was told (quote): "I am still trying to locate your xrays, as they were performed electronically. The electronic records are not in your file as of yet, and I have submitted a request to my IT department to troubleshoot this issue. I should have a status update for you in the coming week, if not sooner." I got a second consultation with new xrays at DC Smile Center. Dr. Seaberry could not locate any of the cavities that Dr. Ahmed had "seen" even after a second more detailed xray was taken. My dental pain went away after the course of antibiotics. To this day I have not received the xrays from Dr. Ahmed as they would clearly show that there were no cavities and they would incriminate him. I urge you to stay away from Universal Smiles DC and Dr. Ahmed
