I have to agree with a previous review, giving these guys even one star is to much. I think they should have a negative rating system to chose from also.

That being said, I also must agree with the previous reviews: OWNERS BEWARE! Jim Jones with CJ Properties is a con artist. They get your money in and find ways to spend it without authorization and without even communicating to you about it.

If you are looking for a management company then look somewhere else, please!!!

We recently had a tenant do some extensive damage to our property, then move out and Mr. Jones and crew gave them back their deposit and we got left with paying for the repairs. And upon doing a surprise inspection we came to find out that the repairs that we were charged for were not actually repaired.

We have moved on to another management company, and CJ Properties managed to find an assorted ways to keep all money we had left on account, even the current tenants deposit.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY THEY ARE DISHONEST!

To begin with, giving CJ Real Estate, Inc. one star is being too generous. I hired this company three months ago to manage a home I own in Blue Springs, MO. I live 1200 miles away so my property insurance was requiring I hire a property manager or they were going to drop my policy. At first Jim Jones, the owner, was very pleasant and rapid with his emails and calls. Once we signed the contract and they were getting their money it all went downhill.

My renters have been renting from me for two years with very little issues in regards to maintenance requests. Since CJ took over in October we have had over $1000 in maintenance required. They have performed tasks that were not even authorized. For instance, the kitchen faucet was leaking. Without informing me they replaced my $350 Pfitser faucet with a total piece of junk and charged me $300. When I asked where my $350 faucet was this was the response I was given "Matt thought he did what he was supposed to do by letting you know we had a service call and the faucet was leaking. I checked with the tech and it was not fixable so he replaced it. we do not keep the old ones. No reason to. That??s really all I can tell you. The faucet was leaking and needed to be replaced". First off, faucets do not break, especially three year old faucets. Secondly, they did not ask what I wanted to faucet to be replaced with and they did something with my property without my consent.

Also, they will low ball you as the owner when it comes to raising rents so that they can keep their revenue coming. They refuse to work with my husband and I with raising the monthly rent. It's as if they work for the renters and not the sellers. This is a dismal company. Unfortunately all the property management companies in Blue Springs are poor.

I know this company has a good selection of homes so I wont say dont rent from them. They are not impossible to work with HARD yes. If you are reading this and are already renting from them. I have one piece of very important advice. When you walk the property before you rent it walk it with a FINE TOOTH COMB . Then note it down on a piece of paper every flaw every rip, tear, dust particle, marking on wood and wall - you name it. Then this part DO NOT NEGLECT TO DO : make a copy get the rental rep to sign on the dotted line on both pages. One for you, one for them to keep in your files. Because when you get ready to leave and they haven't fixed it and you decide to live with it they can't charge you for the stuff you listed on the paper if you show them proof that their REP signed it. Because that paper in their file will conveniently disappear... And believe me they will try to suck as much money out of you as they can. If you are not meticulous don't expect them to overlook anything. They wont. Good luck with doing business with them. If I had read these reviews I would never have rented here. Because they took money from us for things we didn't cause but were naive enough to live with through our stay. Don't make the mistake we did. Have paperwork, emails documents dont verbally agree to anything and if you do get them to send you something written. Cover your A$$.

This guy is a slumlord renter beware! Terrible customer service. And as far as your doposit kiss it good buy, because there gonna come up wit every excuse why there not giving your moneyback.
