Only car dealer I've ever been to that would not give me a price on a new car or my trade-in! Went in to get a trade-in price on my four-year-old Honda Odyssey in pristine shape with low miles and get a price on new, loaded CRV. They had me fill out paperwork and sign for the appraisal, then told me that it costs them money to do an appraisal so they couldn't do it! Gave me a pamphlet with some price guarantee and basically told me to go other dealers and get prices, then come back to them and they would beat it or give me $200. Total BS! I asked to speak to the GM but he wasn't there and they said, "Well, you need to understand, this is policy!"
Went to another dealer the same night and walked away with quotes, no hassle, no signature, no form. Tameron pulled this same thing when we bought the Odyssey new, only then it was we will only appraise your trade-in if you agree in writing to buy this car afterwards!
Tameron basically called me a liar when I told them that their quote was between myself and them. The sales manager said, "Yes, we've heard that before. The only business we lose is if another dealer knows our prices!" I was incredulous! They had rather lose the business than give you a price! Amazaing!!!

I didn't actually purchase a vehicle at Tameron but was impressed with the salesperson. We went for a ride in three different vehicles before deciding to wait another couple of weeks before doing something. The manager was polite and gave me some options to think about.
