I do not even know WHERE to start! If you want the skinny: many excessively priced fines, shitty living standards, ALL furniture is cheap IKEA material, shitty management, pool constantly closed, there is no gym, a lot of COPS/police

When I first moved in I was told that my apartment wasn't ready and I was put in another apartment for 5 days. When I was told my apartment was ready it was very dirty and I had to spend the whole day cleaning it. When I told them about this issue they just looked surprised. I had a problem with a very bad smell coming out of the bottom of the fridge and it took me a lot of weeks arguing for them to finally replace the fridge. Nearly every single night the building has been very noisy making it impossible to sleep. People next door to me spent the whole year smoking marijuana nearly every day which made my apartment stink. Their security system sucked. Nearly every night there were parties with under age drinkers, people flighting and drug addicts. I let the staff know several times about this problem but they didn't seem to care. When I phoned the after hours number at 4 in the morning on a wednesday night to complain about load noise, the person on the other line seemed to be partying also and laughed and hung up on me.
I notified the assistant manager a few weeks after I started my lease that I would be leaving 2 months before my yearly lease ends. She said that since I gave a lot of notice there would be no problem because my apartment is very popular and she would find another tenant. A few months later they changed their assistant manager so I payed her a visit to make sure that she knew about me leaving. She made me sign another paper and said everything would be ok and she waved the 500 dollar penalty for canceling early. When my leaving date was approaching I visited the assistant manager several times to remind her the date to give her a voided check for the deposit. When the day came that I was leaving I cleaned nicely the apartment, handed in the keys and got an invoice by the assistant manager.
Three weeks later i receive a threatening email saying I have to continue paying the rent even if I am not living there because my lease has not ended yet and if I dont pay they will take legal actions against me. The assistant manager forgot that I cancelled and she couldn't find the papers that I signed. And when she remembered that I cancelled she took against me that they didn't find anybody to replace my contract. I find it very sneaky by them that they wait until I leave the country to tell me all that. And I am very surprised that they don't recognize that it was their error and they are willing to get involved in spending a lot of money in sending my rent records to a collection agency when I am not an American Citizen and I live out of the country.

I lived at The Vue last year and loved it! Being an ASU student, it was most important to me to be able to roll out of bed and walk to class. I didn't even have to take the rail, it's THAT close to campus!
Plus, no where else will you find all the Vue's perks for college student prices. I loved the pool deck!! This was no ordinary pool. It was an infinity edge pool with misting cabanas so my girls and I could lay out and tan even in extreme heat. We also loved having all the guys cook for us on the BBQ grills while we would take charge of the smores in the firepit. I'm sad I'm graduating or else I would stay here forever!!

We did a very thorough apartment search for my daughter after her freshman year at ASU. She was very anxious to get out of the dorms. We must have looked at every apartment complex, but finally decided on The Vue. I liked the in unit laundry since I thought that meant she would bring less home :)

She loved the pool deck, which was amazing! I never had a more fun Mother's Day than when we relaxed here all day and used the BBQ grills and fire pit!

What I appreciate the most is that she is so close to campus. She can just walk to class without needing a car or to take the rail.

I also know she is safe! The building has security cameras and a locked entry. The maintenance and management office is located right in the building so whenever she has a problem they are very close and quick!

My husband is in real estate law and looked over their lease with a fine-toothed comb. It's very standard and we felt comfortable signing. They made the whole process so easy!

The apartments themselves are VERY nice. The parking is pretty expensive so prepare yourself for that! But like I said, it's so close to the campus that you don't even need a car. We just like her to have one so she can come home for holidays and long weekends. Hope this helps!

Pros: Location, pool deck, on-site management

Cons: pricey, but worth it
