This place is over rated! It is more about the atmosphere than the food. The food is ok but not great. The prices are WAY too much! The spicy tuna on rice is like a rubber with spicy tomatoes. Adamame are too salty. The only dish I like is

I stopped by here a few weeks ago around Grammy time and was expecting the same superficial, manufactured atmosphere LA Live tends to embrace. I was pleasantly proven wrong. A helpful and courteous staff made my menu selecting far easier than I expected, and the food was immaculate; really one of a kind. I'm not an exhaustive sushi connoisseur, but I've been around town, and for my money, Katsuya is the best sushi I've ever had. You have got to try the Rock Shrimp Tempura. Five stars for sure; now I need to try to the other locations to see if this high caliber holds up, but Katsuya downtown will not disappoint.

hands down the best dining experience i've had downtown! The sushi was fresh and fancy, the two things i require from my sushi! started with the extra special tempura which i'd rate 4/5 it hen had my ultimate fav dish, the crispy rice w spicy tune. 5/5 and my main dish was the sunset roll! another 5/5 can't wait to go back!

So maybe not a chain, but I know there's a few Katsuya's around town. I needed to seriously take my mind off of the Lakers game on Sunday and I went here hoping to get super drunk on imported Japanese beer (which, for the record, was

I was recently in town on vacation and decided to stop through Katsuya in Downtown L.A. with my wife. Being from out of town and brainwashed by stereotypes of LA, I was expecting to get ripped off and walk out of there still hungry, but
