It takes ages from the airport to get there, there is only one customer service person working and I waited in line for 45 minutes to even get the keys to my car and while I was waiting other customers told me of their horrible experiences and warned me not to rent from them, but I was already there. The car was in poor shape, a hubcap was missing (which they did not put on the inspection sheet and I didn't notice because it was so late and dark and I was tired), they won't let you extend the contract without paying additional fees, you can't reach them on the phone, etc. Overall horrible experience. DON'T RENT FROM ACE

This is a letter I wrote to them
On Aug 1st at approx 4pm. My girlfriend and I were picked up by your driver at LAX. We went to the office and attempted to rent a car. I declined all insurance and then was told that I had to have my insurance cards to decline. I stated to them and had supporting paperwork that nowhere did it say in my reservation or email confirmation that I needed my insurance cards. Nor does it state that on your website in rental policies. Since I had no way of contacting my insurance company and the insurance on the car would be more than other companies we decided to rent elsewhere. When we asked to be taken back to the off airport rental, We were told in a rude manner that we would not be given a ride back since we weren't renting the vehicle. I couldn't believe what we were hearing. It would be simple courtesy and good business practice to give us a ride back to the airport so we can continue our trip. We were again refused in a rude manner by the gentleman over and over. I then asked him to get his district manager on the phone and again he refused to give me then name or number of the person. We walked out, Down the street, Rented a car from Thrifty without problem and if we had decided not to rent from them they would have given us a ride back. I have never encountered a rental company with such skewed and deceptive policies and have never been treated in such a rude manner. It was unbelievable to both of us that we would be left stranded at the office just because we were not informed of your policies prior to arriving(on the confirmations). This was a perfect example of very poor business practices. You have obviously lost a customer and probably more as I let my co-workers and friends know about our situation with your company. We are still very upset about the way we are treated and it sounds like you need to do some serious review of your customer service policies.
