My car broke down on 290W in the middle of a thunderstorm. I had no choice but to find the nearest auto shop. Unfortunately that ended up being EFI. I must say that night the mechanics were very helpful and kind. The next day they fixed the problem, a cracked reservoir. They neglected to call me to tell me it was ready, I am glad I called them by the end of business day. I arrived the next morning to pay for the service and was shocked to see I was charged for three hours of labor. I've seen this job done in one to two hours before and cannot believe, unless these mechanics are inept, that it took them three hours. Anyways, I swallowed the pill and paid up never to bring my car to them again. Upon starting the car and revving the engine I heard a whistling noise coming from my belt. I showed them the noise, which had never occurred before bringing my car into their shop, and they denied any responsibility telling me that it was my problem. I discovered that a) they spilt coolant on the belt, making it slip and b) they loosened my belt tensioner bolt to make the pulley wobbly. They expected me to cough up another $180 to fix the problem. Fortunately, I saw through their scheme and decided to take it on myself. With the help of some knowledgable friends on the phone I tightened the bolt and took the car back to my home mechanic who lubricated the belt for free. Unethical practices make for bad business. I would not recommend EFI auto services and was not only not impressed, but sadly disappointed in both their service and lack of respect for their customers.
