Did this place change their name? I thought this was South Bay Termite Control?

Anyway, they did an inspection for us before we purchased our house. The inspection and report is a joke! We hired another contractor to fix what we thought was a minor fungus issue and he saw right away that we had a pest infestation. Basically the guy was blown away that SBT didn't see it! He said it was pretty obvious.

Also, our guy did not find a fungus problem. Rather he found extensive dry rot that we are now on the hook for paying.

Also the diagram on the pest report was incorrect. Our contractor said the problem that was reported in the diagram was in the incorrect area. Well of course! When I first read it, I found out that there were some annotations missing and demanded an amendment. Looks like whoever took care of it threw the annotation just anywhere in the diagram.

Thanks for nothing!

Inspector missed a 5 sq foot water damage spot in bathroom before the house purchase. After we move in and found out the problem, we asked the inspector to come in to take a look. The manager said we have to pay for his visit. The manage Lily refused to take any responsibility. Very unsatisfied.

My wife and I are selling our townhouse and called City Termites for an inspection. After we received the report, it listed a couple of areas in our garage where they concluded that "further inspection" was needed because of obstacles (boxes and other things anybody stores in their garage) in the garage. And for them to come back for further inspection, we'd have to pay again. Obviously, if they have told us to keep things clear from the walls and areas for inspection, then this further inspection and additional charges could have been avoided.

When I called to ask about this, they said that it was our real estate's agent's job to tell us to clear things away for the inspection. How does this make sense? They assume that we're working with an agent. Clearing things away should be part of the inspection preparation/process and nothing to do with the real estate agent's job.

When I asked to talk with the manager, he or she wasn't available. I asked for the manager to call me back and it's been 3 days. I called again today and the same lady to whom I spoke previously, Lisa, said that she doesn't know if the manager is coming in to work. She says that the manager came in for half-an-hour earlier and left. I do not recommend this company at all.
