I have never been treated so rudely.
My husband and I went to Pompei's for Valentine's dinner. We enjoyed the atmosphere and at first the food tasted good. The service left a bit to be desired, as the waitress was scatterbrained, but nice. The problem is we payed $70 for a one Cesar salad, a red snapper with pasta, a small order of cannelloni and one cannoli, one beer and one glass of wine -and then got food poisoning. Not two hours later, my husband and I both felt sick. My husband was sick for three days, unable to eat or drink anything. I went back to Pompei's and spoke with the manager to let her know and see if their was anything she might do for us. I have never been treated so rudely in my whole life! She started yelling at me and said she's never had a complaint. She said it couldn't possibly be her food, she cooks everything fresh, -it's impossible. Then she dragged me back to the kitchen and asked the chef to tell me when and where they acquired the fish. He replied Sunday morning from Raley's. I said perhaps it was the sardines in the Cesar salad. She replied it was impossible, and kept repeating "what do you want me to do about it?" I said I would like a refund, at the very least an apology. She replied , no impossible. Then completely dismissed me and left. There were customers in the restaurant at the time who heard the manager yelling at me, they were embarrassed. One lady even said she would not be ordering the Cesar salad. On my way out I informed the people coming in of my plight and how rude the manager had been. I hope this makes people think twice about eating at this establishment. I don't think you'd want to be treated like your worthless as my husband and I were.
