I bought a KB home in North Natomas 4 years ago. Last year our ac failed and it was just determined we have a leak in the condenser in the attic. We called Beulter and they have given us several different answers but the last answer was that they do NOT do that kind of repair work and it would be $10,000 for them to do it!!!! My neighbor had the same leak but his ac failed the first summer and it was under warranty and they replaced the condenser last week for him...it took beutler 3 years to find the leak!!!!

Very bad experience with Beutler. Infact, we are members of their so called "Comfort Club". A/C stopped working. First appointment is after 10 days (they say it is because we are comfort club members. otherwise it would have been a month later). They find compressor is busted. They have to place an order to replace it seems. No ETA. Another week goes by. After repeated calls, got an ETA on when the part arrives and no guarantee when the appointment will be. On top of all this, I have mentioned that I have a pregnant lady at home and when the temperature is around 105 F. No way to escalate. When I ask the customer rep, that i have to talk to your manager, it goes to voicemail. The manager's office hours are from 8 am to 3.30 pm... come on .. guys.

I buy a heat and air unit costing thousands of $$$ and I ask them to have one of their techs to stop by and see if it is blowing enough air. "Sorry, you are past one year... That will be $115 even though it may take only 5 mins." They come across like "to bad so sad" attitude. They are a big company so they can do without my little business but terrible cus service. Very disappointing.

They magically dont keep reference material to even tell you the model number of what they installed, BUT they can charge you $75 to send a technician.

Beutler SUCKS!!!

Customer had warranty, was unable to get service for 3 weeks during heat wave. Condenser fan motor failed and we replaced it. If you ever consider doing business with Beutler, just remember that you will not get any service that is worth the headaches! They are now trying to sell replacement equipment to older homes. They can't take care of their existing customers... so don't fall for Beutler's horrible service. Good at selling, horrible at standing behind their substandard workmanship. They have more defective installations in Solano, Yolo and Sacramento counties than any other company in the last 20 years!

I recently purchased a home from Beazer Homes which uses only Beutler for their HVAC and low-voltage wiring options. Beutler's products are decent but their prices are horrendous. I spent most of my time in their "show room" using my iphone to look up the actual retail price for items that were offered. Beutler - $900 for an item that Best Buy sells for $399?! That doesn't include their install fee... installation in this case being to open the box and place it on a shelf.

Beyond the price gouging there was a serious lack of attention to detail when it came to the installation of chosen options. My Cat5 wiring was not connectorized correctly but fortunately I knew how to fix it myself. The alarm system and home audio selections were not installed on schedule and I had to make four follow up appointments before they finally showed up and did the install. The installer was a nice guy, knowledgeable and personable so i was careful not to take out his employer's issues on him.

The wiring for their outlets was completely unfinished and not connected. Fortunately the wires were within reach with a coat hangar so I was able to complete the work myself... again. Common theme.

I mentioned to Beazer that they should find a new source for these items but I guess Beutler has a corner on the market because they can "handle the volume." It seems that their method of handling the volume is to come up short and make themselves look horribly incompetent.

If you decide to go with Beutler for an install please do your homework and be prepared to take notes on every phone call so that you can reference what one service rep tells you that another has no information on.

We have a brand new Elliot Homes. Company recommends Beutler Heating and Air. Unfortunately, their service is lacking or almost non existent. We've called repeatedly about setting up service and service is always 4-6 weeks away. Why bother with this company or purchasing any type of service warranty with them when there is no customer service? Buyer beware, hopefully they will make a bonafide effort to hire more technicians and create better customer service that truly warrants an Elliot Homes endorsement. Until then I would not recommend them.
