On the website for this practice it says that the consultation will be personal and private. Since their is a doctor who is in this practice that seems to not think it is important to consult with the patient. Maybe the personal and private does not mean between a doctor and the patient. Maybe it's between a patient and a computer. Must be in his case. Is that right Randolph Smith?
See an appropriate doctor one who will have knowledge about your problem. You don't want something done to you that was not necessary. I try to think of other things that could have been done to me that makes having my face cut up for no reason not so bad. Perhaps if an arm or leg was cut off for no reason. I think anything that is done that is not necessary is bad. Again I say see an appropriate doctor. If the doctor you need to see is a plastic surgeon, then see one who has the time and interest to see you. Clearasil versus z-plasty
Which is less evasive? Clearasil
Which is less expensive? Clearasil
What would have removed the bump? Clearasil
Then why was a z-plasty done on just a bump?
I don't know, never heard of a z-plasty, still would not know what was done to me if it weren't for the internet.
Dr. Smith why did you do a z-plasty?
Did you need the money? Did you need the practice?
Did you not know the difference between a bump and a skin cancer? Did you not care about the consequences of messing up my face? When is the right time to inform the patient about these things such as the procedure etc. Before, during, afterwards, years later or never? Is not this something the patient should know? You and your practice may not think so, but most people would. Why aren't you and your practice interested in doing so. You may not think it is important to inform your patients, but I will try to inform them for you. Future patients you may end up in the same shape I am in - messed up and you won't even know what was done to you. Perhaps I should go out and show people what kind of work Dr. Smith does. I bet there are not any other people out there that have had a z-plasty done on them for no reason. I bet any other people who have had a z-plasty were explained the procedure and knew what to expect. They did not have to see themselves afterwards and have the doctor tell them that they "looked like zorro had been on their face". They did not have to leave bleeding and the doctor tell them they "didn't need a band aid". The doctor had done what he wanted to do so the patient needed to just get lost. He had no more time for them. I imagine people need to see what a mess a z-plasty leaves once it falls apart. Uneven skin, scars, and where the skin flaps were tied down (I think) will always be a problem. Dr. Smith I think I will not only warn people of your work, but I should show your smart way of removing a hair follicle. A z-plasty was not the answer, I just hope I can get over what you have done to me. You doing such a drastic thing to me without knowing or caring if it was needed. You not informing me before, during, afterwards or never what was done, how it was done and why. The internet can only answer so many questions, if you don't have the decency to explain this mess perhaps one of your partners can. Your partner. Dr. Ewart says being certified assures you of a competent and safe doctor. Well you are certified aren't you? Would you say doing a z-plasty on nothing but a bump was a safe procedure and did it show that you are competent at knowing what to do? You have left a bad impression on me. Perhaps other won't be impressed either! Is this common for this doctor? Recently Dr. Smith had the opportunity to tell me what was done and explain the mistakes he made, but he chose not to. He must have no decency in him or is he just too embarrassed and ashamed at what he did or or didn't do. Why wouldn't this doctor finally tell the patient? He does not care about the patient. .
