Not your traditional bar food where it is all fried. Fish tacos were great along with the grilled chicken. I go every couple weeks for lunch or dinner and some cocktails. Always a good crowd of people. Staff is friendly.

Cons: parking sometimes

I stopped by the virgin lounge the other night before dinner for a drink with my fiancee. I liked the atmosphere of the place alot and the drinks were decent. The one thing that suprised me was that for how nice the place was, they served ther non-wine/beer drinks in dixie cups. I don't know if they do this all of the time or if it just happened this one time we happened to go. I would go back again, but I'm sure there are better places out there.

I you are in the area and don't feel like being in the "pretty scene" of Randolph, it is a good place to go. Usually not too crowded. Food is not all that good, but the drinks are fine.
Stick to the gal bartenders though. The two male bartenders that work there on weekends are too full of attitude, and act like they are doing you a favor.

I like the atmosphere of this West Loop Location. The nice high-back booths that face the center of the restaurant. Nice candle-light atmosphere. I highly recommend sticking with the sandwiches as opposed to the entrees. I ordered Jambalaya and I was terribly disappointed. I still like coming here for drinks and sandwiches, even if they do swain you on the sides (french fries, etc cost extra). Sometimes service can be flaky.

Pros: Atmosphere, Locations everywhere, Prompt seating

Cons: Lame entrees, Flaky service, Pay for sides.

I have always loved Bar Louie's burgers, but the chicken vesuvio sandwich was quite comparable. You cannot go wrong ordering a 10 oz. burger from this place to feed a hang-over. The beer battered onion rings are some of the best I've had. This location happens to be a little noisy, it sounds like you are dining in a cafeteria with 100 noisy children when you may be 1 of 10 patrons in the joint. Great food and beer, the only 2 reasons I go here.

Stopped in for a beer or 2 before I was planning on heading next to Bluepoint Oyster Bar for some, guess what, oysters. It was an odd time of day 2 or 3 pm, so there wasn't hardly anyone around, so service may not have been typical. The beer was good and fresh, I had a Honkers Ale from the tap. The music was alternative and the atmosphere a nice reprieve from some of the more uppity places I'd been hanging out. When I mentioned I was leaving to go next door for some oysters, the bartender told me that they shared the kitchen and could order them for me. I accepted that and was rewarded a short while later with a large tray of oysters. The service was great, the oysters were good. I was not offered a choice of type, but was brought was decent.
